I didn't expect this place to be that wonderful. It feels like home there. Everything was great, the place, people who work there, people who stayed there, the food, the atmosphere. They also have a list of very interesting and uncommon tours around the town. I stayed for one night and two days only and I left that place with sorrow. No doubt it's the best place I have ever stayed at.

great hostel, wonderful staff, really nice breakfast with lots of fruit and a homemade jam that is just awesome. it could be a bit closer to downtown and the bus station, but its quite close to the central market and the handicrafts market, which compensates... overall a great value for your money, totally recommend it!

Great little hostel that felt like a guest house, the double room was next to the kitchen which got a little noisy but not a huge problem. Fantastic staff who recommended different activities apart from the well worn tourist traps around SCDLC. The coffee plantation tour was fantastic and really opened my eyes to how the indigenous people in the Chiapas region lived and the struggles they face. Breakfast was basic but delicious, banana marmalade on toast with sliced fruits and drip coffee.

Our room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast with fresh fruit, home-made jam and freshly-brewed Chiapan coffee was delicious. Alex and Guillaume are great hosts: they have excellent insider tips to share and a chat with them by the fire is a wonderful way to learn some more about San Cristobal. Listen to their recommendations on tours and activities! Particularly interesting is the tour to San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan with Cesar and Raul.

We enjoyed our stay here, the staff were very helpful, especially with booking trips to see the best things in Chiapas. The posada is small, but full of character. We would stay here again. The only downside was that one of the dogs from a neighbouring property would bark often during the night.

The posada has a wonderful character. The room has high ceiling with hardwood furniture. The bed sags a bit but otherwise quite comfortable.

Good hostel, staff is french, english, spanish and italian speaking! Position is not so central, it's 10/15 minutes by foot to tha main square and 10 min from the fruit market. Rooms, toilets and common space are very clean! Small but functional kitchen! I was sick for 2 days and the helped me with tea and medicine! thanks!

The hostel was a great value for what you get! The people were all very nice and the lockers were very convenient . There is no security at night and no lock on the front door which was strange, but I felt relatively safe there . The breakfast was bread and coffee . We took a tour of the indigenous villages through the hostel and it was pretty amazing. The hostel was a good walking distance from the center but very cute. My favorite part was the courtyard and meeting cool people .

Great place to socialize! It's clean and not that far from the main street. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only drawback is a weird rule to turn the lights off and put all the stuff away from the patio at 22.00. That's way too early.

San Cristobal was cold the day we arrived. Make sure you grabbed an extra blanket. The temperature drops drastically at night so be really careful. The hostel has very welcoming staffs and the atmosphere is warm. The reception is only open until 10pm so make sure you let them know if you're arriving late, otherwise the front door would be closed. The homemade jam served during breakfast was amazing.

La Posada is a great place! All the staff was really nice and helpful, breakfast was good, bathrooms and showers were very clean. Our room was very comfortable, although a little cold but that's more a weather issue ;) Maybe it is a little far away from the city center (like 15 min walking) but for the money it was very worthily! :)
