Q4 Hotel Reviews

There was only one problem in Q4 Hotel: is too close to the subway, so it`s almost impossible to sleep because the trains is passing all day. Anyway Im going to stay there again, but this time Im taking some earplugs with me.

Felt a bit more like a hotel than a hostel. The basement is really cool and super large with a pool table, decent-sized kitchen, chill-out room, ping pong table, etc. I was there during January, so obviously the atmosphere wasn't a bit low. The staff didn't feel like a "hostel staff," and weren't really knowledgeable about great places to go, see, and things to do.

For me rather a hotel than a hostel for travellers. Staff seemed to be not interested in guests and was unfriendly and not helpful. Additionally, every single extra thing, e.g. computer station, ear plugs etc. was related to a fee. Even luggage storage on the day of departure costs additional money. The beds wreck your back!

It's a very nice modern set-up, it has some great features but as somebody who has stayed in many hostels in many differnt countries it lacks some basic ammenities the kitchen is not set up to handle the amount of people staying there, you can easily spend an hour plus waiting to be able to cook.

I thought it was a great stay! Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was in a great location, close to alot of eating places and close to the subway. The only thing I didn't like was when they did the daily inspections. One guy did a quick knock and then just opened the door. He really didn't wait for a reply just opened the door. But the cleaning ladies were very nice and respectful. We had a private room and it was clean and nice when we got there. Great place to stay!!

Very nice hotel, very clean and with new furniture! the bed was really comfortable, excellent sheets and towels.

The hostel is very easy to get to on the subway, and as one of the cheapest hostels in NYC, is a good enough value. I rated "poor" for security because none of the doors (front door, stairway door, room door) locked, and the lockers were pretty small. How is this possible? The staff were very helpful, and everything was clean. Fast wifi, free linens. I'd definitely stay again, but specifically request a room with a working lock!

Wonderfully helpful staff. Would benefit from even a basic breakfast although it is NY... my locker was broken and there was a really smelly but friendly old guy in the room

It is a very nice and comfortable place. The only problem is the noise during the nights because the trains are continually passing. Besides that, the hostel is very clean and the staff very friendly.

It's a good hostel, served by two subway stations just a few steps (Queens Plaza) or blocks (Queensboro) away. Everything is new and it's nice. There is a good kitchen but some staff people come all the time to check what you are doing and it's a little bit uncomfortable. There is a busy highway just in front and it can disturbs to sleep. The housekeepings are crazy but it's funny; they don't care if you're sleeping, they get in the room as a runaway truck making beds and cleaning the bathroom.

Probably one of the best hostels I've ever been to. Extremely clean and nice facilities, very close to subway.

Our lock to the door did not work the first two nights, did not feel so safe. But very good locations to the subways!

Very nice hostel. So many additional perks that it is completely worth it. There is a pool table, various TV's, fridges to store food, plates, cups, and utensils. There are comfortable lounges and clean rooms to stay in. You will meet amazing people.

Extremely noisy at night thanks to its proximity to two train stations. Don't choose this hostel unless you're a fast sleeper and will not wake up at night at the sound of coming and going of trains outside. I'll never choose this place ever.

Excellent place!!! I would definitely recommend this place!!!! Amazing accommodations, very new, very clean, very young. If I have to come back, I will stay there again.

They should offer breakfast to the guests. Even if we need to purchase it in a restaurant inside the hostel.

We are verry good at the hostel, clean, comfortable, very well orginised, no stupid actions, frendly but serious.. I like their attitude, they were helpfull, I promise Jack ( it is not written like that but he will understand :) very close to metro station, directly you can go yo Times s. There is a kitchen you can cook and enjoy with other people.. you will feel good in there!

new building, in a bit of an industrial area but very close to Manhattan by subway

I didn´t like my stay at Q4 hostel . I had to leave earlier than planned, cause my room was freezin e i got sick. Anyway, I can not complain about the staff, cause i don´t think is their fault. They were very helpful and helped me a lot.
