It was very easy to find the hostel from the metro station, there are some shops, restaurant. The room was simple and modern style I love it, but I felt the staff was not friendly when I checked in they didin't do explanation of facilities.

Don't let the fact it's not located in Manhattan put you off as it's right next to a subway station and only a very short ride (under 10 minutes) into Times Square. Worth paying a couple of dollars to travel as it is considerably cheaper than other NYC Hostels and just as good. Big common area for relaxing and getting to meet people. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hostel was clean. Not much more you could ask for!

It was very clean and not difficult to find after coming out of the subway. The only thing that i wish was different was that the lockers were bigger. Luckily I had a smaller lock that fit, but it would be nice to have the lockers that slide out from under the beds and you can put a big lock on it.

As the hostel is right next to the metro, windows should be made sound-proof for the noise. Additionally there was one morning no hot water to shower anymore. On the other hand, the location next to metro is just great to get downtown, and the 'living room' and kitchen are great!

Nice clean hostel, no faults with the hostel in general or room. However, there was a draft and a HUGE amount of noise throughout our visit through the sky light in the room. Noise was the biggest negative of the visit I would say. We were in room 311. We asked if something could be done about it and the man at the desk said he would call maintenance and get them to look at it but nothing really changed. Although we did get the heater switched on and blankets for the draft.

Great hostel, nice atmosphere and very convenient as it was close to the metro. Friedly staff! Our room wasn't always that clean, but it was more due to our roommates than to the hotel itself. You have to be lucky with your roommates, I guess... Overall a very nice experience!

Very good hostel, amazing kitchen, lounge and entertainment area. Friendly staff and excellent location for cheap food while not too many stops from all the sights. Only downside is the loud trains going past outside, but if you've chosen to go hostelling then you are probably prepared to sleep in a noisy environment. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed my stay at Q4, excellent staff and the place was really clean and modern. Met some nice people and the beds were comfortable enough. The location might seem a problem to some people but honestly it's fine if you don't mind waiting 10 minutes to get into the city, I think it added to my experience in NY.

Was just here for one night but very nice stay. Clean sheets and towels, good hot shower and en-suite bathroom and only 5 minutes from Manhattan. Would definitely stay here again.

this hostel is awesome :) it's modern, new and the staff is also young and always available. there're three subwaystations near the hostel, so it's easy to go to new york or other cities. it's a great place to stay :)

The Q4 hostel is: Expensive, but is the price to be in NY. Taxes are not shown in Hostelworld; Very close to NYC, (although in Queens the hostel is very close to NY (1 station) by metro stations Queensboro e Queens Plaza; Noisy: the hostel is right in front of the elevated metro lines, which are quite noisy, and a very busy avenue. BUT, when you are visiting NYC, you have so much to do, and you get so tired, that the noise may not bother you.

A great launching point to get to Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, it is a bit more of a challence to get into Staten Island or the Bronx but it is good. a great # of interesting people made their way through there as well. a good experience and great place for sure.
