This was the noisiest palace I have ever stayed in ever! Had an ensuite room at front of the building, could not believe the noise of the trains and traffic constantly. No double glazed windows. Staff said no availability to move us. Woke at 4am each morning to the noise. Don't stay here.

This is probably one of the best hostels I have stayed at, during my six months as a backpacker. Located in Queens, just two min. walk from the Subway Station, driving directly to Times Square. There is a very modern character all over the line. There is a lot of places to chill, a very nice and clean kitchen, several information about NY-city, events at the hostels and a friendly staff. The only minus is that the bathrooms are too small and you need a place to put all your stuff.

New, Clean, located next to several Subway lines, taken care of well! Hope they will keep it that way :) as it sounded like other places went into decay soon after. Only disadvantage I saw is that the common areas (taken care of well as well) are in the basement and windowless. Its true that the trains around do make some noise, but I its really not bad. No problem. Definitely to recommend!

My only complaint was smelly roommates, but I have that in my college dorm, so that's beyond anyone's control. I just hope the price stays down so I can go back!

The price was excellent, but don't underestimate how loud the trains are. My group got less than 3 hours of sleep a night, between the trains and the employees yelling back and forth across the first floor.

The price is reasonable. Not too far from the 5th Avenue, and it takes within 30 minutes to Flushing chinatown. The room is clean. The public kitchen is very nice, with everything needed. But, really cold at night... This may not be the main reason, but I caught a bad cold later.

The bed is old and not stretch. We were sunk in the bed and they not provide the good sleep. The cleanliness and design of hotel were good but The location was difficult to find and far from many attractions.

I had a nice stay but it was a pain to have to check in and check out so many times. I also had to switch rooms 3 times. I'm not sure why this was necessary but it did add stress to my trip.

One thing I'd like to comment is the lack of space for relative silence and work. There is only one big common room. To make things worse they let people play their own music (via Youtube or whatnot), and sometimes 2 hours of techno may not be what everyone wants. I have to say this is a mild complaint on top of amazing staff, cleanliness, location etc etc, probably in most aspects the best hostel in NYC.

Very clean and well decorated hostel. However it was really really cold... The staff is nice, the atmosphere is.. ok I guess. If you want to meet fun people I don't know if this is the first place you want to go to. We asked the staff for a cab, and we had a limo. the driver barely spoke English and didn't drive us to the place we wanted to go. So call for a taxi yourself ;)

Room is tidy and clean. Any kind of food storage is not allowed inside the room, we have to place all our staff in the common area.
