I visited the Hostel in February. The room was super cold! We stayed in a 8 room bed. The heater wasn't working. We told the hostel a lot of times. We had to sleep with our jackets and long pants. In fact, I brought a blanket ( happy for this!) The next day I went back to the room, my blanket wasn't there anymore. The cleaning ladies took it.

My stay at the q4 hostel was really cool. The staff was quite friendly, room was small but clean thugh, and the kitchen and the other common spaces were cozy and well organized. The only thing I did not like much is the extra costs for any other things such as locks (6 bucks) and also to let you leave your luggage for some hours after you check out (5 bucks).

The kitchen (compared to how many people could actually use it) and laundry facilities (especially cause it's been used by the staff) could be a bit bigger. The lounge in the bank vault is a really nice idea. I stayed one night only but I'd definitely come back.

Best hostel i`ve ever been. Very clean and a great atmosphere!!! Only the rooms to the street and subway are very loud, you need ear-plugs!!!

Don't be scared by the fact the hostel is outside Manhattan. It's just less than 15 minutes away from Times Square, and you don't even have to change trains. The best hostel I've ever been in. Super clean, and the common area is great. Pool table and tennis table for free, and great atmosphere. The best: is not super big so you really get to know people (if you want) as in a conversational way. Of course if you're looking for wild, loud parties and stuff like that, maybe try a bigger one.

The hostel is brand new so the facilities are in excellent condition and most of the staff live there, so have a vested interest in keeping it clean; it is extremely clean at all times! Also has a very comfortable communal area with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

This was my first hostel experience and first experience traveling alone. The staff was very helpful and the people staying there made the trip worth it. I would choose Q4 over a regular Hotel any day.

Is the best way save ur money in ny. I stayed one week there but sometimes it was really hard to sleep because of train noises. But I loved there. I would like to come back to stay here .....

A nice hotel not hostel. Located at Queens which had several subway lines access. Staff is not rude but not nice also. It's ok for this money stay in NY. Very clean.

I stayed here in January so it was pretty quiet with not much in terms of atmosphere, but I was pretty busy in Manhattan all day, there's so much to see and do. Q4 was just a place to sleep and eat. Bring some warm PJs if you are staying in the winter, it was very cold in the middle of the night.

It is close to the subway, but otherwise far from the sights. The beds were comfortable though. Good if you just need a place to sleep .

There was only one problem in Q4 Hotel: is too close to the subway, so it`s almost impossible to sleep because the trains is passing all day. Anyway Im going to stay there again, but this time Im taking some earplugs with me.

For me rather a hotel than a hostel for travellers. Staff seemed to be not interested in guests and was unfriendly and not helpful. Additionally, every single extra thing, e.g. computer station, ear plugs etc. was related to a fee. Even luggage storage on the day of departure costs additional money. The beds wreck your back!

Felt a bit more like a hotel than a hostel. The basement is really cool and super large with a pool table, decent-sized kitchen, chill-out room, ping pong table, etc. I was there during January, so obviously the atmosphere wasn't a bit low. The staff didn't feel like a "hostel staff," and weren't really knowledgeable about great places to go, see, and things to do.

I thought it was a great stay! Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was in a great location, close to alot of eating places and close to the subway. The only thing I didn't like was when they did the daily inspections. One guy did a quick knock and then just opened the door. He really didn't wait for a reply just opened the door. But the cleaning ladies were very nice and respectful. We had a private room and it was clean and nice when we got there. Great place to stay!!

It's a very nice modern set-up, it has some great features but as somebody who has stayed in many hostels in many differnt countries it lacks some basic ammenities the kitchen is not set up to handle the amount of people staying there, you can easily spend an hour plus waiting to be able to cook.

The hostel is very easy to get to on the subway, and as one of the cheapest hostels in NYC, is a good enough value. I rated "poor" for security because none of the doors (front door, stairway door, room door) locked, and the lockers were pretty small. How is this possible? The staff were very helpful, and everything was clean. Fast wifi, free linens. I'd definitely stay again, but specifically request a room with a working lock!
