Probably one of the best hostels I've ever been to. Extremely clean and nice facilities, very close to subway.

70%

It's a good hostel, served by two subway stations just a few steps (Queens Plaza) or blocks (Queensboro) away. Everything is new and it's nice. There is a good kitchen but some staff people come all the time to check what you are doing and it's a little bit uncomfortable. There is a busy highway just in front and it can disturbs to sleep. The housekeepings are crazy but it's funny; they don't care if you're sleeping, they get in the room as a runaway truck making beds and cleaning the bathroom.

It is a very nice and comfortable place. The only problem is the noise during the nights because the trains are continually passing. Besides that, the hostel is very clean and the staff very friendly.

They should offer breakfast to the guests. Even if we need to purchase it in a restaurant inside the hostel.

I didn´t like my stay at Q4 hostel . I had to leave earlier than planned, cause my room was freezin e i got sick. Anyway, I can not complain about the staff, cause i don´t think is their fault. They were very helpful and helped me a lot.

new building, in a bit of an industrial area but very close to Manhattan by subway

$139 for two nights in hostel is expensive maybe it s the holiday rate in NYC! the hostel is newly renovated with very nice chandeliers everywhere, very well illuminated, excellent silent air conditioning, secured WIFI connection, very easy access to Fifth Avenue, Empire State Building, Macy's, Penn Station with Q32 bus and N & Q Metro line.

I spent two nights in the hostel and I was not able to sleep because of the noise. The Q4 is very quiet but there is an outdoor subway just near to the hostel...and in NYC there are subways all night long! But except that, the hostel is new and very clean. The common area are super nice too. There are several subway stations around the hostel which is very convenient to go anywhere in Manhattan.

I thought that it was very expensive (I suppose it is everywhere in New York during Christmas). It was a bit uncomfortable to change room two times during five days. I think it´s wrong that you charge for storing luggage on the day of check-out (first hostel that does that during my travels and I travel a lot). I wish breakfast was included. I liked very much the common areas and the hostel is very clean. You get to Manhattan very quickly by subway, hence the location is perfect.

Absolutely recommend this hostel! Except from the fact that it's kind of noisy because of the rails, it's just PERFECT! The room is super clean and awesome!

The staff was friendly and gave all the information we asked. The room was pretty clean and, although it was really close to 2 subway stations, we had no problem about noise at all, and the windows faced the street, but still we had no problem to sleep. We only heard from a girl in our room, about some other girl who brought some outside guy and they stayed together in another female only room. Don`t know if true, but nobody in the front desk asked me to show the room card, even once.

I found the room was extremely poor for a 4 bed dorm but maybe thats just new york. What i did not like is the noise of the train which is right next to the hostel and keeps you up all night initially till you get used it. Location is not so good as it would be much nicer to stay in manhattan. This hostel has no atmosphere in the lounge area. In other hostels they have bars and generally a more social fun atmosphere. I did not get that experience at all in this one.

Staff atittude in not the right one, definetly. There are exceptions, but in general they seems not to be happy with their jobs and that's not good for a hostel. In addition, they were not very friendly to help me finding the recommended atractions or activities to do in the city, they live there and they should be more welcoming. I'd like to see a change there soon, because for me the rest is fine and is consider it a great hostel.

I did not like the fact that I put in my reservation a week ahead of time and when I got there they made me wait hours before I got my room.
