Smoking allowed in the chillout room!! this I just cannot understand, it got to choking levels, surely common sense dictates that a common area like this should give everybody comfort, instead of catering for the minority who cannot exist without a smoke.
The showers need a rethink just so awkward and shower heads not good.
Those were my moans.
Apart from that i enjoyed my stay but would search for a hostel that regards non smokers as important clients.Smoking allowed in the chillout room!! this I just cannot understand, it got to choking levels, surely common sense dictates that a common area like this should give everybody comfort, instead of catering for the minority who cannot exist without a smoke.

The common room and kitchen at this place were really cool, and the staff were nice. Unfortunately everything else was pretty bad; the room was small and dingy, the walls paper thin and the location awful. I wouldn't have minded so much had the price been right, but at 36 euro for a "double" (they only have twins, it seems), it was the most we paid for accomodation during our two weeks in Andalucia. Probabaly decent value if you're in a cheap dorm bed, but otherwise, forget it.The common room and kitchen at this place were really cool, and the staff were nice. staying at residencia malaga was fine, no complaints. good place to meet people, and the walk from town isnīt too bad with packs on. it is about 20 minutes, so be prepared, and there isnīt much nearby.staying at residencia malaga was fine, no complaints. good place to meet people, and the walk from town isnīt too bad with packs on. it is about 20 minutes, so be prepared, and there isnīt much nearby....Close

The hostel has been clean, the stuff is friendly and helpful.
I would not recommend to walk to the hostel from the main bus/ train station if you have heavy luggages. It\'s not just a 15 minute walk as the directions says, but 30 to 35 minutes. Take the bus - it\'s cheap and the bus station is very close.
I would not choose this hostel again due to it\'s location - but except of the location it has been ok. The hostel has been clean, the stuff is friendly and helpful.
