This is a very good hostel. Not great, but clean, friendly and with a really great location between the train station and the historic old town. Hostel staff had good recommendations, but breakfast was a waste of time — dishes weren't clean and there wasn't even toast, just plain cereal and packaged croissants. Also, there's no locking storage inside the room, so plan accordingly.

We were there at a very quiet time in January. No working lockers in the room but we were only guests in six bed room so we could lock the door. Breakfast was simple but very good. Very good location near the shops. No soap in our loo and shower drain blocked. Friendly staff.

I didn't spend any time in the hostel, as all I really needed was a place to sleep for one night. It was good and comfortable, though I found the price a bit much for one night (€15, perhaps because it was a long weekend?). It's a bit north of Plaza Mayor, away from the main tourist spots in the south and the bus station as well, but Salamanca is such a small and walkable city that it did not bother me.

very very warm and efficient welcome.

The hostel was very nice and clean, and the location was perfect(within walking distance of everything). We did have a problem with the staff, because apparently they overbooked the place and there was an extra person in our room, and they were slightly rude to us when we tried to address the issue because we are "gringas". Other than that, the place was great.

Hi Salamanca Dorada, yes is time for sharing my experience what I had with you. Dorada is place where you can have really fun with the staff.get out with theme and explore nightlife of Salamanca. If you are looking for simple and easy going place Dorada is right choice

This was less like a hostel and more like being roommates with staff except we had less rights. The kitchen is only open from 1-3pm and 8-10pm which are very awkward times to eat. The breakfast is a joke and so if you want to prepare your own meal you can't because he kitchen is closed. I was told those times were for cleaning but five hours in the day until it can be reopened is much too long for cleaning, and I mostly saw staff preparing food to feed a family. So it's more like it's their time

The staff was amazingly friendly and caring and they really made an effort to find us a bed to stay when the whole city was fully booked! Everythig was clean and the atmosphere was very laid back and welcoming.

Beds were comfortable and he staff were nice. The hostel is easy to find and close to all the must see spots. Although this is not a party hostel, the common area was somehow a place to drink at the wee hours of the night. All good though, because there's a kitchen/dining area to hangout as well.

Probably some of the nicest, most welcoming people you will meet in Salamanca. Highly recommended for any erasmus students starting out on their year abroad. Salamanca Dorada is sure to become your home from home while you are settling here. Brilliant place to connect with people from all over the world...I'd be surprised if you are not invited out to join the staff and residents for drinks in the town on your first night there. Perhaps a little awkward for anyone not into drinking, though.

No security whatsoever, no lockers and all doors including downstairs were left open at all times of day. Staff were smoking throughout the hostel. Kitchen and bathrooms were rarely clean.

Nice hostel. In a good location. 5 minute walk to the center. Everything is very clean. Breakfast was good. Atmosphere was alright. Small common area, didn't see other guests, even at breakfast, but it was a nice place.
