The owners are more busy with their lifes and their dogs than with the guests. Nothing works well and every thing is dirty.

The room was filthy, bed sheets so old they are yellow. Walls were mouldy beneath the window and the bathroom was disgusting (smelled like a public toilet). We also found a LOT of BED BUGS. They have 5 huge dogs and the whole place stinks of them (including the rooms). They are free to walk around the whole place, including the communal area, the pool and the hallways. The walk to the hostel takes you trough some empty streets with loose dogs on them (residents let them onto the streets).

This hostel is ideal for anyone who likes lazy, unfriendly service. It really felt like i had put the staff out by staying at the hostel. The place also stank of dogs and the furniture in the communal area is full of dog hairs. However, it is quite close to the station and has information about bus times and things like that. There is also a PS2 and lots of films.

Hostel isnt as bad as all the comments you read, it is a little over priced for privates but we went in high season and all the hostels are over priced. The pool could have been cleaner but i have been in alot worse. Showers were hot but ordinary. The lady who worked there was a bit dry but she warmed up quite quickly and was quite funny, the man however wasnt happy to be asked anything. Lets be honest, if your looking for a room to sleep in for 2 to 3 days its ok but not for a week or 2.

I can say two things about the staff. The lady was very nice always trying to solve the hostel problems. But the man was extremly unpolite always complanning about everything. The toillet was broken, and the sewer was spread all over the floor! The Breakfast was poor. The only positive point was the price.

Be warned, not only are there "dogs on the premises" but they're massive and the whole place stinks of them. Add to that surly service and lacksidaisical service, cramped rooms, meagre breakfast and there must be far better places to stay in Iguazu....

The family of the hostel is friendly. If you like dogs and can do without a crystal clear pool this hostel has a good price. Don't book the hostel because of the pool because this is not very inviting. If you ask if the pool can be cleaned, the guy will only activate a filtering system but the dirt will stay on the ground of the pool. Or maybe you have more luck during the high season.

The location is good, close to bus station and center. Since the city isn´t that big, this probably applies for most accomodations in Iguazu. The woman is helpful, the man a bit grumpy but not unfriendly. If you´re looking for a cheap hostel this one is alright. But there are nicer hostels in town which aren´t that much more expensive.

I don't know what these other guests expected from the hostel staff - they don't have to act like your best friends. The lady was v nice & helpful and gave us heaps of great advice. The dogs are great too. Well located near the bus station on a quiet St
