It would be of some help to provide for better security of food left in the kitchen, even with food labeled with name and date some was taken by others. Also when travelers are very tired from travel and activity they need to rest and sometimes there is too much noise from music in the hostel late in the evening. You might also consider a bulliton board for guest to list things like offering rides, seeking rides, sharing tours, sharing food and cooking, needing information...etc.

The hostel is good itself, but the breakfast is poor: awful coffee, a terrible butter (it is actually an awful margarine), no milk (only a "don´tknowwhat" white powder). It should be much better and wise to have breakfast outside and pay for it.

The best hostel i have ever been to! Top location, really clean, friendly stuff. It looks a bit like a hotel because of its nice backyard. Thats why many people were just hanging out even during the day. The atmosphere is just nice. And the best is the fire at night. It was really easy to make friends. Had a great time there.

We stayed here for 1 night and then moved to another hostel. It was 50% more expensive than other ones in town and didn't really offer any additional value for that money. Hostel itself was nice except for the extremely cold water in the kitchen which is really annoying when you have to wash your dishes after breakfast. But there is really no need to pay that extra money so you're better off staying at a different hostel.

We had a great stay here at the hostel. The breakfasts were fine but what really stood out was the bonfire! It was great sitting around at night and meeting new people. Definitely recommend this place!

Great little oasis in San Cristobal. Great location and easy walking distance from many cultural sites. The staff is chill and helpful. Don't forget your towel and a lock, though.

Best hostel throughout our time in Mexico. Though the place is cold (and I mean COLD) you're in San Cristobal, so just bring extra socks! They provide plenty of blankets etc. The best thing about the place is the communal aspect of it, everyone sits round a fire pit at night and you're almost forced to make friends. We met so many cool people here, we really miss the place still. Lovely dogs and cats onsite too who make it that much more homely. Tours organised at the front desk, good kitchen!

It's a nice place with a lovely garden and is an easy walk down to the centre of town. The staff are very friendly and helpful, which is always a big bonus. The kitchen's good and they offer free breakfast. I stayed with my wife and daughter in a room up the back, which was nice, if basic. The glass ceiling was a nice touch and made the room nice and bright. The only negative is the lack of an in-room heater. It gets very cold at certain times of year in this area and we were freezing!

This hostal is good quality for money, their included breakfast isn't special though. We stayed in a private room with bathroom there was hot water in the shower and everything was clean. The staff is really friendly and helpful. They have a cool campfire area. I had a good time there.

This hostel is way overpriced. We had a private room that was clean, yet cold and dark. You have to pay for drinking water. The kitchen is hopeless so you can make you're own food. And there is nothing to do there. And you can't do your own laundry. They do it and charge for it.

We stayed in a private room with ensuite which was lovely and very good value for money when booked through hostelworld. The staff are very helpful. The grounds are verdant and there are dogs, cats and hummingbirds. There is lots of communal space and the bonfire every night (apart from when there is too much rain) is a nice touch. It would be good if the terrace area was not guarded by a very loud dog. They do charge for water and keeping your bags after check-out too which I was not used to.

Had a really good time here, the evening receptionist Daniel is a really sound guy and really helpful. Someone give the poor dog with flees some help though he didn't stop scratching the whole time I was there!

This was such a comfortable private bedroom we had at Rossco! We were definitely impressed by the comfortableness of the place. However it is fairly big and perhaps a little bit impersonal. Paying an extra fee in order to store your bag inside a locker is not the friendliest approach I have seen from other managements. The hostel is definitely in walkable distance from the bus station (a good 20 minute walk though). The breakfast is decent. Wifi throughout the premises.
