Can't say anything bad about this hostel. Great place to stay in singapore, chinatown. The only thing would be the breakfast. You get a Coupon for two different restaurants and I could just eat the Toast with kaya because I don't like lunch (rice /noodles/meat) in the morning.

One of the best hostel in Singapore I ever stay. Very good location;Smith Street. Go outside and you found foods in front of the hostel. Near Chinatown MRT Station (5 minutes). Easy to roaming around Chinatown. Staffs are really friendly. The room clean, cozy, and the air con is cold. And I love with the breakfast. I got a coupon for each day to have breakfast on one of the restaurant in front of the hostel and I tried having breakfast at Ah Huat and it's good one.

Great location, right in the middle of some Chinatown action. 4 minute walk to the metro station. Near some interesting temples. Was decently clean. Perhaps not a great place for meeting other travelers, but very comfortable overall. Breakfast was served via a coupon that could be redeemed at nearby restaurants.

Great location in china town. Easy to find. Relaxed atmosphere

It would be great to have a diffuser in the room. Travellers alike would have dirty laundry. Stinks up the night. Just a thought

Ok for a cheap stay in Singapore, don't expect more. It wasn't the cleanest place we've been so far. If you stay during the week days, you can find better for about the same price, but definetely in the best prices for the weekends. Helpful staff, water dispenser available.

Had a great stay at Royal hostel. It has the perfect location, and you have chinatown just outside the door. Dorms where good with lockers and comfy beds. Only thing i was missing was a common area to relax and meet people.

We enjoyed our stay and extended it by an extra say. The only annoying thing was that reception was only open 11am till 7pm so if you were out for a whole day you often missed being able to speak to a member of staff.

Good location if you don’t mind the singing from the lounges/pubs nearby. Rooms and bathrooms/toilets are clean. Keypad with password access, but keypad to the upper level dormitory was not working, you could just opened the door by pulling on it. No pantry/kitchen area, there are hot/cold water dispensers though and reception will give breakfast voucher for eating at selected nearby local eateries. I like the fact that beds are partially shaded with curtains.

Having a locked storage room would be a big plus!!

A big Thx to the guy at the reception! He was very helpful and friendly!
