A beautiful and friendly place to stay. I would have stayed longer if my plans permitted. The walk back there at night if coming from the station was a bit tedious, but in my opinion worth it. If I am ever back in the area I will certainly book again with the Sakura Guest House in Takayama.

The guest house is very nice. I stay there just only 2 nights but it make me need to stay longer. The house is renovate from the real Japanese house. The staff is also nice. The location quite far from the train station but it's not problem for me because I am traveller. I love to travel.

An excellent guesthouse, run by a very friendly guy. Next time I come back to Takayama, I`d be more than willing to stay there again.

This was a really nice hostel, and the owners/staff were always around. It was a little far from town, but it is close to Hida-no-Sato.
