Overall very solid for a hostel. It’s not a hotel but a hostel and reviews should reflect as much. Personally they should change the lighting so it doesn’t look so yellow in the room. If you don’t wanna interact with people and want to only explore Tokyo, get a private room. But the real experience is the mingle with the other travelers. Overall I would stay again if I wanted to make Ikebukuro as my base.

Amazing staff but the walls of the dorms were dirty, the bunk beds made way too much noise, I kept waking up when the people above me would go to bed at midnight and the room smells dirty easily… However I did like the kitchen and the seating area to just eat and relax
