The room we booked was not the room we were given, not impressed!

Creepy, noisy! Dirty, 1 shower for the entire floor....... Don't go. I've been in hundreds of hostels around the world and this is one of the worst BY FAR

Very uncomplicated stay and staff were friendly most of the time. Good that outside guests are not allowed in the hostel given the location. full sized lockers for bags in the rooms would be a useful addition especially in dorms.

Staff there were kind to me. I want to stay here again!

Always a good option when in LA

Staff were super helpful and you cannot beat the location, 30 seconds walk to the beach. Common areas were quite small apart from that this place is great! Highly recommended.

The hostel doesn't have laundry, if you need one you need to take a bus OR walk almost 25 minutes.

Brilliant stay, perfect location, helpful staff. Clean room, good facilities and again the location is absolutely perfect. Lockers in rooms and a very secure front entrance, brilliant overall!

I was recommended this hostel by another traveler & I was nervous about his recommendation but I was wrong. This place is kick ass. Fantastic location on Venice Beach, the facilities were good & clean and the staff were awesome. I had a big problem with my check in dates thanks to another hostel but these guys got me sorted n checked in with no hassle within in ten minuets saved me from sleeping on the streets. Big thanks on that. I can dabble on about his place for ages but I won't just do it.

We arrived late and checked-out very soon next day. So we didn't see a lot of the hostels. Double room was very small and old. Staff seemed not to be very motivated. But the location is just great to hang out at the beach.

No 2 bad!!

The only thing great about Samesun is it's location as you are literally on the boardwalk All hotels in the area are expensive and even some of the hostels are more that what you'd pay on average. But I believe that's how this hostel gets you; they take advantage of kids traveling on a budget and therefore assume you don't expect much. I've stayed in hostels all over the world and I am actually surprised at how high the rating is at this one. Also- Americans: don't forget your passport!

Room smelled badly, not really clean, dark (just small window), bathroom not clean
