This place is Awesome! Great location, a stones throw away from the beach. Great, friendly staff that are very helpful. Could not have asked for a better place to stay. Will definitely be back.

The experience was fantastic. You are right at the beach, and within walking distance (200 meters) of many charming little restaurant s and bars. The staff glowed with positive, helpful energy, and took a personal interest in every person who came to the front desk. The beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. The guests were kind and not scary. I can't adequately express how pleased I am with my experience of Samesun Venice Beach. Keep up the great work!

Hello, Most of our rooms do have private bathrooms. Also all of our shared washrooms are single occupancy to maximize privacy. Cheers and thanks for the feedback!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights in the 3 bedroom dorm! It was a good size and had a TV! The main problem was it smelt like sewerage. I didn't complain at the time as I didn't want to whinge but just warning others not to book that room! Also two out of the three beds were terrible they sounded like they were going to fall apart everytime someone moved and the springs were all poking out! Luckily I got the comfy bed but my poor boyfriend had a hard time! All round it's an ok hostel!

Samesun is a funny little hostel, it's quirky and weird. I stayed in a 7bed dorm with en-suite. The bed was okay and had clean sheets. The bathroom was clean but the shower only seemed to have a fixed temp of 'cool'. The hostel could of definatley been better organised as they could handle many check-in's, but they did say they had just got a new system. It's in a prime location next to the broadwalk but also next to all the prime weirdo's from venice, but they have a good security door.

Great place to stay when in Venice Beach. Short walk/bike ride to Santa Monica. Staff friendly & very helpful. DEFINITELY will be back!!

Great location, and although we could understand why some people felt uncomfortable due to the homeless people, the area actually felt pretty safe to us. Room was great, maids are always around so you know it's clean! Although we didn't take part as I was under 21,a lot of the activities such as a club night in Hollywood seemed like a good idea :) free WiFi was a big bonus. TIP if you want to rent a bike go to the one right next to the hostel and tell them you're staying there for a discount!

A large hostel but very clean. If you like Venice this is the perfect location. Many people will not like the area Venice. No breakfast :( This location is right on the beach, you can't get closer. Also be sure to ask for a basketball and shoot some hoops at Venice Beach.

Second time I have stayed here and I loved it just as much. It is right on the beach and a short bus trip to Santa Monica. Venice Beach is an extremely vibrant area, but it is an 40 minute or so bus trip into Hollywood Blvd. The buses a fairly regular and cost very little. The Hostel itself wasn't rowdy at all and provided a great place to sleep.

Hard beds, hot water runs out to quick, 4 people in a room can't take a hot shower after each other since hot water runs out. Good location though, and safe..

I like the atmosphere in the hostel, people are so nice here, and we can have our valuables deposited. However, the light in the room is a little bit too dim, at least for the room that I stayed in.

I was bitten by bed bugs and in my four days there, was lucky enough to get only one hot shower. All other showers were either cold or luke warm.
