The area is a little dodgy, better to be with a group of people than having to walk back up the hill or stairs by yourself. The place needs a bit of work/better management- ran out of toilet paper while we were there, fan in the room only worked sometimes making it very hard to sleep some nights and matresses are all definitely in need of replacing! On the up side- breakfast was yummy!!

Average hostel which doesn't really try to be anything special. There are plenty of bathrooms, but only one has a working, lockable door on it. It's a hike up a hill to get to and there's a lack of local shops in close proximity. The staff are reasonably helpful and there's beer available from behind reception. Apart from that, there's not a great deal which makes this place memorable.

Very nice hostel with good location close to party district of Lapa.

It wasn't that the staff don't clean, they do and are very nice. But the place overall is a bit run-down, so hard to make such an area look better. The breakfast was yum. Good for bigger groups who like to go out partying at night. The area is very close to Lapa which is also great at night time.

It is an ok place, some function-problems like no toiletpaper, there is no lock on some bathroom, and cant flush the toilet sometimes, but that is the same for many hostels in Brazil. The staff is friendly, but are not Brazilians. They mixed up our beds with other guests and couldnt find our booking and dont have a structure to help the guests with basic information like maps and stuff a tourist could need. All in all, you can live there if you are just coming back just for sleeping
