Gil has created a very unique desert experience with this camp. He goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and fall in love with the desert in the same way that he has.
Really great place, difficult to get to if you haven't got a car but it wasn't impossible. The dorms have recently been redone so everything is new. Really good atmosphere, perfect for meeting people. Only thing is is that because it's in the desert you have the full desert experience including a lot of mosquitoes in the night which meant I had trouble sleeping. The buzzing was really irritating, more than I thought it would be. I would highly recommend taking insect repellent with, wish I had!
WOW. One of the best place I've been. Gil (the owner) is simply the best. The "camplodge" in the desert is comfortable and there's erevything you need! *Hire a car to travel the dead sea :)
Great place!!! Friendly stuff, clean facilities, nice rooms and a wonderful atmosphere!!!
It was a nice experience that took me back to summer-camp days. The whole place is a campsite with seating areas, grill areas, a communal kitchen, and wooden shed-like structures of varying sizes, equipped with beds and sleeping mats. My party consisted of two people, and we got a little shed all to ourselves. It was clean and well kept, which more than made up for the poor construction quality - which, in itself, added to the rustic, nostalgic feel of the whole place. A+, would go again.
