Cute little camplodge in a tiny town at the south end of the Dead Sea. Close to Ein Bokek and other Dead Sea sights but far enough away for an authentic experience. The host Gil is lovely and hospitable. In the evenings, there is a great mix of travelers and locals to mingle with in the common area or around the campfire. The accommodations were better than expected for a camplodge- clean bathrooms, super comfortable mattress. Would highly recommend!

Our hosts, Gil and his wife, were incredibly accommodating and hospitable. We were there for New Year's Eve and they were so kind to cook a delicious meal for the guests. Later as we sat around the campfire, they offered everyone champagne to welcome the new year. Such a warm and kind atmosphere, people playing guitars, singing, and having a fun time for New Years. Gil is one of the most friendly (and well traveled) hosts I've met on my travels around the world. Well worth the visit to Shkedis.
