Smart Stay Hostel Munich City Reviews

Not easily walked to from the HBF but the tram and undergrounds serve it, and it is 15 min walk from Marienplatz. Luggage drop off before check in is in a shed out back, but they let you keep valuables behind the desk. Dorm was big and spacious, bar downstairs was nice as well. Breakfast was okay. Lockers in the room, you provide the lock. En suite bathroom had toilet and shower in one room, so if someone was in shower using the loo was awkward, as opposed to having them in separate rooms.

Good hostel. Not blow your mind amazing, but it had everything I needed.

Good hostel, ok location...a bit a ways from the center but I like to walk. The internet was annoying because you had to constantly reenter your internet code, password and then scroll down to accept and then press enter a bunch of times and then it will work if it doesn't time out immediately and you keep redoing it. Also the kitchen left a lot to be desired as the cookware and utensils were really lacking; also the burner was week. Otherwise, good large spaces in the rooms with small locker.

We booked room for 8 and it was quite renovated and we got our own toilet. Good location with metro stop just in front of the hostel.

Pretty far walk if you are arriving from the Haupbahnhof, and its kind of a hike if you are going into Altstadt. Its a good price for the money though with a helpful and friendly staff.

Rooms were dirty and when we opened the windows they were filthy dirty!! Not comfortable there! Sketchy !! I didn't want to leave anything down! Clean up people!

The rooms were clean and nice, we were very lucky with the people in our room too. Definitely the best place to stay if you're going to any of the Wiesn fests!

The shower was not draining anymore, and we were 8 to use it... the bathroom was a mess. Moreover, the shower was cold. I paid for the wifi (why isn't it free ?) and I can't even get a signal in the room. The beds are old and not comfortable. The place is not far from the town center, if you take the metro that is next to the Hostel. The people at the reception were nice and helpful. I do not recommand this place for more than one night...

Close to the Goetheplatz underground station, pretty clean, only complaint is about the price, it could be lower or at least have breakfast included.

Very nice hostel! good position (5 minutes metro to the city center), nice lounge room with bar and pool table, nice rooms!

You get what you expect!

Everything was great except the shower in our room wouldn't drain and would overflow every time someone tried to take one. Gross!

very horrible memory in this hostel, all my cash was stolen by housekeeper and the staff there didnt provide any help. I want to cancel my booking after my cash was stolen the staff there dint give me cash refound

Big hostel, stayed in a 6 mixed dorm, staff was ok, no wifi included, no breakfast included, no information about the city upon arrival, the place is too big that I didn´t find it to conducive to mingling......

The Wifi didn't work during busy times as it was extremely slow, which is annoying when you pay 1 Euro an hour for the use. Also I requested on booking to have access to my room at 11am on the day of arrival which was accepted and then when I arrived they told me my room wouldn't be ready until 2:30pm.

Good Hostel, recently refurbished. Very friendly staff.

Hostel offerred the bare minimum and location is poor.

apart from kitchen, everythin else was good.. a little too expensive in my view

I've been staying here for one week. And this morning I found my country's national flag ( Taiwan)being posted on the wall. The flag wasn't there the first day I checked in here. I think that explains your thoughtfulness and friendliness. I took photos and posted them on Facebook,showing how sweet you guys are. Think you vey much !
