I had stayed in a shared dorm at St. Christopher Bauhaus before and absolutely loved it. It was hands down my best hostel experience; however, this time around my father and I stayed in a 3 person suite (therefore requiring us to pay 90 euros for the night). I figured that since the shared dorm had far exceeded my expectations for what I paid, the suite would, as well. Unfortunately, the suite was not worth the 90 euros, even if we had split it between 3 people. We simply could have found better

Great little hostel with very clean rooms. The hostel can be a bit tricky to find since it's on one of the backstreets and is spilt into two buildings, but is not a very far walk from any of the sites in Bruges. Lovely staff and charming character. I would stay there again!

The location is excellent. But there's a bar right beside where you sleep and people come and go and their is a lot of noice. Its 10min walking from the center and there's breakfast in the morning so can't complain for that. But I shouldn't have to be paying for a locker to put my bag for the day. It should be free. The bathroom weren't clean at all. I would go back , but maybe not on a Friday night.

Had a awesome two days over in Bruges, made some great new friends and the staff at Bauhaus are very welcoming and make you feel right at home. Only issue was that they split our party up into 3 different rooms when we had paid for one all together, we eventually got it down to 2 rooms but would of been nice if we had been all together.

Awesome place to stay and reception was always friendly and helpful even when an entire group of football fans were checking in! Awesome Free Breakfast and a 5 Euro lunch can;t be beat. Pub crawl and walking tour were icing on the cake. Great times and memories (at least what I can remember!)

Nicer than some hotels I've stayed in. Clean, good breakfast, wifi was okay, and location was just minutes from the center of town. I'd tell anyone going to Bruges to stay there.

The hostel is extremely noisy at night. The bar downstairs has very loud music until very late hours and it sounds a lot in the room. The beds in the 4bed rooms don't have the lock cages shown in the pictures. It was a very small bedroom for 4 people as well compared to other hostels in Belgium. There are lots of safes available but not many lockers so we had to leave our bags in the station's lockers on the last day. The bathrooms and shower were very clean and the hot water worked fine.

Pretty average to poor hostel. Mould all around the window in our room, and the beds are terrible if your even slightly tall. bathrooms are shocking. shower runs by a button and you cant change temp. either cold or boiling. and turns off ever 20-30secs. I wouldnt stay here, if you could avoid it. And people decide to party in their room till 3am. not cool. DONT STAY HERE!

Just one remark. We asked what time the kitchen was closed for dinner in the pub, they nicely told me 21.30. Then when we went at 20.30 for dinner it was everything booked and we coulnot stay. I think it would be a good idea to recommend your guest to get a reservation for dinner.Thank you very much

The place is quite good and we are lucky to have three friendly roommates. While the cards to open the door always do not work and it's quite hard to get in.

What makes a hostel great for me is not even it´s facilities, but definitely if you are treated well and feel good. For the money this hostel was great, big room, nice breakfest and very good people (other travelers). But the staff was always in a bad mood, only one treated me nicely, while others were just regular or disrespectful. If I went to Brugge again I would stay in another hostel and at night go to Bauhaus bar just to meet other people.

This was one of the best hostels we have stayed in. Everyone was helpful and wanted to go the extra mile to make sure our stay was good. The room was basic but clean and warm - exactly what you want from a budget room. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. The only downside was that the credit card machine wasn't working so we had to use cash, but this was hardly their fault and they e mailed us before we left to let us know. Overall - a fantastic place to stay.

We had a hard time using the magnetic card to open the entrance door and our own door. The heating system could not be shut down and it was too hot in our room, which was a waste of energy.

I would definitely stay again. My only complaint was that I found a hair on my bed when I first got there. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. Good value for money!

Great bar and restaurant, satisfying breakfast, spacious rooms. I was disappointed not to get the new pod beds but oh well, maybe next time! Staff were helpful and efficient, but not FRIENDLY (a smile costs nothing!) which is most important to me.

Set in a good location with only a short walk to the centre of Bruges. The hostel has its own bar which creates a decent atmosphere, however, the room I was in was directly opposite the bar so it was very noisy when trying to get to sleep. The room I was in was a large room with many beds, which I do not recommend as people were coming in at various hours, some louder than others. I think this hostel is more suitable to those who are travelling as a group and looking for some good nights.
