This hostel was not like the other St Christopher's unfortunately. We pretty much slept in an attic. Not very modern, but I suppose you don't have a lot of choice in Bruges.

The location is good, only 10 minutes walking to the center. Everything is clean, staffs are nice. Two cons: some bathroom doors have gaps that can see through, our room is just above the bar, so it was too noisy at night.

Liked that the 6 bed dorm was roomy with lockers in the room. Did not like that the wifi was only in reception area, in a separate building, none in rooms. No clear directions how to arrive at hostel, only which bus to get on, no directions where to get off. They say ask driver, but with so many people jumping on and you end up at the back, how can you ask? 2 people on bus were saying to get off at 2 different locations. Out of 3 washers, only 1 was working.

We had so much fun at this hostel! As Bruges takes 20minutes to walk from one side to the other, the location is excellent! The pub is probably the BEST part of the hostel - we even got involved in a pub quiz! 1euro beers during happy hour, and 1euro Jäger shots! We stayed in a private twin, with a shared bathroom - and while it was new for us to share a bathroom, the showers were great! Plus you hardly in the room, you either exploring or you in the pub before bed! The breakfast was also great!

Bad: Staff were not friendly at all; guy at the reception was helpful but (really) "bureaucratic". There was no hot water on the bathrooms in the morning; answer from the hostel: "It is because we have a lot of guests". What???? If you can't handle "a lot" of guests you should not have a hostel! Be prepared for "a lot" of guests, please! Good: Room is really nice. Bathrooms were clean. Is nearby the center (ok.. we are talking about Bruges!). I would stay there again (IF they have hot water).

Great hostel for a beautiful city. Everything was as expected at this place. Staff are helpful, super clean, have your own bar and the location is prime.

Good breakfast, great staff. On the other hand, I realize this is not a hotel, however, we couldn't even get the window open, it was so hot and smelly in the room! Not a great night of sleep.

Bathrooms were the only let down, cards took a few times to open the door.

My friend and I only stayed over for one night, but it was great! Wish we stayed longer. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel restaurant was also good. Room and facilities were very clean. The free map of the city they provided was excellent and made our visit fun! I look forward to staying at this hostel chain in other cities.

One of the best hostels I ever stayed in! Free car parking just around the corner, great location for exploring the city centre, comfy beds (at least in the 6-bed-dorm I was in, single beds instead of squeaky bunk beds - very good!!!), hot showers available at all times. Staff was great and very helpful, too. Only fly in the ointment I found was that it was very warm in the entire building and the toilets on the 1st and 2nd floor didn't have wash basins to wash your hands. Still, I'll be back!!!

Good location and pleasant staff! They were certainly a plus! However, there is no wifi throughout the premises. Another thing is that some places were clean and other were not (in terms of bathrooms) and my room in particular had a funky smell (for a lack of a better word.) But don't get me wrong the hostel was still great!

Hostel was clean, we had food at the restaurant the first night (burger) and it was super good ;). Waiters were really polite and helpful too. Would definitly recommend it! Beds were comfortable and showers really clean! The only thing is that I didn't really like the fact that I felt "obliged" to leave the euro that I gave for the key deposit for charity. Not that I don't give to charity but you should say it at check in and leave us the choice.

We really enjoy it there. No major problems were found, although prices for bikes, towels and so on its a bit expensive. Some of the staff members are really something else too.
