I think the dorms were really poor. Small and no lights by the beds so that you had to switch on the celing light every time. There were too little showers and toilets and because they were unisex and the cabins were so tiny it was hard to change cloth. The music from the pub was very loud and the breakfast was very basic. I've slept in a lot of Hostels lately which all cost basically the same but were far better.

Hello and thank you for the feedback. We are disappointed that you didnt enjoy your stay with us. Its only through reviews such as this that we can improve our services and facilities. Some of our dorms are basic - we also have pod dorms which have the extra facilities such as privacy curtain, reading lights and personal power points. If you wish to return to our hostel then please contact us so we can offer you an upgrade to these modern dormitories. We hope that you give us another go and we wish we safe travels! From the Bauhaus Team.

The hostel was good. The stuff friendly. But we did not like that everything had to be paid extra. Nothing was included. Towels, laundry, soap, etc. We were even charged for the internet and the one page we printed.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are happy that you enjoyed the hostel and found our staff to be friendly! There are many things we offer as a free service however we unfortunately cannot offer everything for free. The items you have mentioned cost as low as 10 cents and only up to 1€ ! We use this money to purchase more items so everyone has the opportunity to use to our services and purchase items they may have forgotten. We hope to see you again in the Bauhaus and we wish you safe travels! From the Bauhaus Team.

For the price this was the least value of the 4 hostels we stayed in on our trip. The rooms are very small with iron beds and thin matresses. Its obviously a student backpackers hostel with small shared facillities which should have been a lot cheaper compared with the other places we stayed. The place is an old traditional bar which is bouncing at night with hoards of folk glugging as many small blue drinks as fast as they can, but the food was better than I thought it was going to be.

I missed a living room where I can rest and meet people (there was a bar). Very cleaned and great staff, maybe if you shared toilet and showers, there aren't enough. But we never found any problem to used them when we wanted. You have to walk 10 minutes from the center and is very close to the canal and some mills.

Hello, Thanks for taking the time to write such an informative review. We do not have a kitchen, as it states on all websites where we are advertised but we do have an awesome restaurant where you can get cheap quality meals and even free beer samples with your food! There is free WiFi available in our bar/restaurant/chill out room and reception area. Sorry that you missed the neumerous signs around the hostel advertising this. There are lockers in all of our rooms and also lockers provided for you to use after you check out, sorry that you also seemed to have missed this. We rent tablets which cost 2 euro for 30 mins, 3 euro for an hour and 1 euro for every additional hour after that! Pretty good value we think! Please come back and stay with us soon! Safe travels The Bauhaus Team

Our stay was perfect, the rooms and bathrooms were amazing and very clean, I would definitely recommend this hostel and would be my first choice if I had to come back to Bruges. Special thanks go to the friendly waiter with the spiky hair (whose name we missed) working at the restaurant of the hostel. He was really helpful!!! :D Great job guys, keep it up!!!

Jonas was an awesome bartender, definitely served up the right recommendations. Everything else was awesome, cleanliness, comfy beds, the only thing that was dissatisfying was the fact that they did not have a free storage locker to store luggage on the day of checkout. All other hostels that I have been to have free storage for luggage, this is something they definitely need to change. Im not going to pay 5 euros for one hour.

Hello, Thanks for taking the time to review us! Jonas is awesome! Glad you think so too :) We have lockers available for storage. These are digital locking systems and if used, your luggage is insured for up to 500.00Euro. The cheapest locker is 1.50Euro and the most expensive is an extra large locker for 5.00 for 24 hours! Pretty good value we think :) Hopefully you will come back and visit us soon! Safe travels

The hostel is not bad, but a bit far from the center. The staff (the staff) is distant the tenant. It is a shelter for a day or two at most. Breakfast is good. Did not like that in the hostel have to pay a luggage locker to care

Hello and thanks for the review. We have free lockers to use in all of our rooms and the paid locker system for you to store your luggage after check out. The reason that you pay max 5euro for 24hours and min 1euro is that your belongings are insured. Pretty cheap for peace of mind we think! Happy travels

One of the best hostels I've stayed in for a while, really clean, easy to find and I'll definitely be recommending this place to my friends. The staff were also great, especially Ashley at reception who was really helpful (thankyou!), Jonas and the guy from Wolverhampton at the bar (we didn't get your name, sorry). Everything you'd want from a hostel.

This was probably the best Hostel I've ever been to! Everyone is really nice and helpful, there is plenty to do, and this very nice guy Jonas from the bar even gave us Valentine's Day Champagne! I even decided to stay for an extra night, and they gave me a discount! Gotta love this place!

This hostel is much better than the ratings. I booked a 6 bed dorm only to find out it was above their noisy bar. I politely asked reception if they had a "quiet" room and they moved me into the 'new building' which houses mostly 10 bed dorms. If this "new" part was like the rest I bed this hostel would be ranked %90+. In the new dorms they have excellent bunks with power outlets, curtains and hooks for your stuff. Breakfast was alright. Bar had nice atmosphere in the day time.

The staff are not very helpful and they make it seem as though you are inconveniencing them with questions. The hostel is very nice and if it is your first stay at a hostel I would highly recommend it.
