There are a lot of guests but it still has a cozy, home-like feel to it, which is great. The hostel itself has its history along with the city. It's a great place to relax or party, whichever you prefer! But the rooms aren't too social because of curtains on the beds, which can be good or not so good depending on the person and their preference! The breakfast is also great.
Great hostel easily walkable to center. Staff were helpful and responsive. Close to laundromat. Dorm was clean and on the top floor with lovely skylights. The hostel rents bikes, so you can easily make a bike trip to Damme, or the beach. Only concern was that bathrooms weren't always clean. Sinks and toilets were in separate rooms from one another, making washing hands difficult. One shower room had a plugged up sink for a whole day, and at least two more toilets smelled of sick way too long.
Paris can be expensive but with this hostel it's totally worth the price. You receive towels and the showers deserve a big A+ because they're spacious, super clean and just wonderful. Plus, the place is beautiful and close to a metro station.
our first night a grown man tried to get into both my friend and I's bed. We had to both yell to get him out of the room ( he wasn't even a roommate didn't belong in the same building either come to find out) the next morning we told reception and first they said if we could identify him they would surly kick him out, we identified him. They never kicked him out." He seems nice" and "is sorry" clearly no respect for women who almost were physically violated. The hostel itself was nice though.
I went there with my gf & both upgraded for free to the pods which are awesome. Going to other hostels now is hard because these beds come with curtains, own light, electric outlet, locker under the bed etc however there was no internet except at the reception/bar/cafeteria which is in the next building which is not perfect security wise. Extremely clean. The non-hot meal Breakfast was both tasty and generous. Location might be further than others but Bruges is tiny so really not that far.
Great hostel! Very sociable bunch of people on all three nights that I was there. The basement bar is a good place to hang out and sometimes they have live music there. All the bathrooms were very clean and the shower head was big and the water was nice and hot. It's cool to be able to order a coffee or a chai and sit in the common room as well, which almost resembles that of a hotel, not a hostel. Only problems - location out of city centre and variable wifi quality.
The bar and common area was pretty cool, and the free breakfast was good, but cleanliness was a different matter. There were puddles all throughout the hallway because of leaks in the roof. Bathrooms weren't entirely clean. Only ever saw staff change bed sheets but nothing else was ever cleaned in the rooms. Staff didn't really offer any advice other than recommending the pub crawl and free walking tour. Hostel is within the city walls so not too far of a walk into the main square.
Great hostel, has a nice bar with good bartenders whom are very knowledgable about Belgium beer.
Best hostel ever! I got to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms and it was awesome! The bathrooms were so clean and new as well...didn't even wear my shower shoes. The beds were so comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and the lounge/bar area is very homey for chilling on all the rainy days. Highly recommend this place!
Love this place. Good beds, although WiFi only in some rooms. But the bar is awesome.really fun. Thanks
This was a solid hostel choice. Good beer selection at the bar and the rooms were clean. Only cons were no wifi in the dorms, one of the hallways literally smelled like a sewer, and sometimes there was no one at the reception desk so I had to wait a while.
Great hostel- rooms are comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful!

Great place to stay. Easy to meet people at this place, good beds, good people.
Nice, clean accomodation. Our 4th stay at a St. Christopher's and it lived up to the standards we've come to expect from a St. Christopher's. The only downsides were that it was a bit far from the train station (although close to many other things) and that WiFi was only available in the lounge.
Great location right across from TV station, near good shopping area and plenty of bars and restaurants. Rooms were clean and spacious however bathrooms were not overly clean.
They have a good breakfast and a nice bar but our room was near to God.
Wifi only worked in the bar. Close to the town centre. Plenty of beer to choose from. Stairs are hard to walk up.
We stayed in a 16 bed dorm. The pod beds were awesome offering privacy with a curtain and individual light and power point. The lockers were located under the bed and were very noisy when people accessed them. The street noise was loud, waking you up at times. The bathroom facilities were great and the breakfast was really good. There was an unpleasant smell, particularly in the hallway near our dorm & the key cards often stopped working and needed resetting. The wifi only worked in the bar.
Overall I really liked my stay at St Christopher's Bauhaus Bruges. The bar and lounge had a great atmosphere with good music and seating. However, the bathrooms left a lot to be desired. On my floor there was one toilet with no sink and an empty hand sanitiser dispenser, the shower floor was always wet with no real space to put clothes etc.
ThThe showers and restrooms were my only concern. TheyThey should be maintained better.
