This was the perfect place for a group of friends and I, but I'm sure it would be equally good for just one or two people. Richard couldn't do more for us in anticipation for and throughout our stay. My friends and I spent two nights there and enjoyed every minute. The proximity to two brilliant pubs, a gorgeous beach and local attractions along with the value for money to be had at the hostel and in the area cannot be beaten. We will all be back.

This was the best hostel that we stayed in and on our next trip to Ireland we'll definitely be staying longer in Strandhill! There's a great atmosphere in the hostel, you really feel like home there from the very beginning of your stay. The people running the hostel are more than friendly, always there if you need some help and great to hang out with. The rooms are small but very comfortable, you'll find all you need in the kitchen, everything is clean... There's a direct bus line from Sligo

about 50 metres from the beach, parking right next to the front door (and otherwise plenty of parking places near by) and very, very near Voya (you must absolutely try the seaweed bath!) great staff, nice common room - pity there are no lockers (but out of season: who really cares... you have the hostel almost to yourself)
