ITH Los Angeles Beach Hostel opened in 1996 in Hermosa Beach, California, and is located about a 20 minute drive south of LAX Airport in one of the best areas of Los Angeles.

The hostel provides shared room (dorm) and private room accommodation to travelers from all over the world.

PLEASE BE AWARE: ITH Hermosa Beach Surf Hostel LAX is located in the entertainment district of Pier Plaza and is subject to HIGHER MUSIC LEVELS from the surrounding bars, especially on THURSDAY-SUNDAY NIGHTS.

CHECK IN IS FROM 4PM-12AM. We are UNABLE to check in anyone after 12AM.

We provide free Wi-Fi. Complimentary Self-Serve Breakfast is offered each morning.

There is free street parking within walking distance of the hostel and there is metered parking next to us. Please read the parking signs to avoid fines.

Must have valid and physical passport / ID to check-in. Must also show proof of ongoing travel.

Please be aware that taxes are not included in your reservation total, you pay it when you check in.

Sales taxes 14% payable to property. A credit card is needed to keep it on file for damages.

We do NOT accept Los Angeles Locals. You must reside 50 miles away from Hermosa Beach or farther.

Guests can stay for a maximum of 14 days in a calendar year.

Families and travelers under 18 years old are welcome in private room only. Travelers under 18 are not allowed to stay in dorm rooms.

Guest must follow hostel rules otherwise they will be asked to leave without a refund

NO refunds after check in

Guests are not allowed to use the business address as their personal address or to get deliveries. Packages or letters will be returned to the senders when received.

Some of the things which makes us popular with guests include our location on the beach, the fact that we are the safest hostel in Los Angeles, the bars, nightclubs, restaurants within walking distance, our proximity to public transportation, supermarkets, and cinemas, and much more. And the fact that there is so much to see and do every day!

Typical near the beach hostel, chill and vintage. Great location for sunset/ exploring and staff were so friendly, free breakfast is also great. However, the hostel shares a wall with a nightclub club so even though ear plugs are offered you are not getting sleep before 3am, the rooms and bathroom are also very small for 6 people.. tripping over eachother and our stuff and with NO AIRCON, the room was pretty uncomfortable and humid. Overall fine for 1 night, but would struggle there after.

Great! Secure outdoor and room entry. Staff came to meet me for check-in and gave a tour. 4-bed bunk was the perfect size. Breakfast includes fruit, raw eggs, pancake batter, bread & spreads to cook yourself. Small kitchen that fits 3 people at a time; guests & staff kept it clean. Main room as desk, seating, a piano, and games. Very convenient next to beach & bars. Community oriented with hostel WhatsApp group & activities. Only complaint is no body soap on my floor, but the upper floor had it.
