very nice hostel with big rooms and big beds. staff really nice and helpful, although the communication was a little bit difficult.

Staying at Taishan international hostel was a great choice for climbing Taishan! It is centrally located in the small city and the staff were great with helping us to re-organise our train tickets and friendly. Wi-fi was good. Good common area although didn't see any foreign travellers. Would recommend for another stay!

It's a cold time of year and the hostel didn't really provide a nice warm haven from the winter freeze. I slept with my jacket on. Other than that, it's a nice place and I imagine pretty nice out of the off-season. The perfect location for starting your Taishan climb.

Big Hostel with big rooms and big beads, cold in the winter but enough near to everything. Good price for the service. A suggestion, print out the city maps before arriving because the taxi's driver don’t like work for so less distance (hold rail station- hostel)

Overall just an OK room to stay in, everything else was unmemorable other than the fact that the guests "Kitchen" which they directed us to use was the most disgusting, filthy food prep area I have ever seen. Absolutely everything in it was filthy, greasy and smelly including the cloths we initially tried to use to clean up with. As the Hostel was very quiet I have to assume the staff had been using it, leaving it in an appalling state for guests. Location good for mountain.

Very clean and big dorms. Very well located in the old town, on the foot of the Dai temple, and around there are many food stalls.
