Beds where really dirty, mattress tiny as wood for the long use, sheets really old, light in the bathroom minimal, all furniture old and wear out. Staff was in a hurry not really giving complete answer, probably due to out number people working in a such big structure.
This sleepy hostel offers a good base before climbing up the mountain. There are several places to eat close by and its a 25min walk to the first base before the climb. A bit hard to find but the girls at the reception are kind and helpful. The facilities are average but with warm water. Dorms OK with air condition.
Overall: Very, very clean. One of the cleanest cheap ones in mainland China. Vibe: There wasn't really much of a hanging out vibe but that was fine because we were waking up at 12:30 am to climb. Staff: The staff was a bit underwhelming and you definitely shouldn't expect them to speak more than very basic english. Location: The hostel was farther away from the mountain starting point than we expected. While it is near the Dai Temple, the Dai Temple is not that close to the start.
