Such a lovely place to stay, such beautiful houses and furniture. Breakfast was great, fruit, toast, muesli, yoghurt and bacon and eggs if you wanted it. Tea/coffee too. A little bit away from the old city, we mostly walked which took a while but we didnt mind other people might. I would definately stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at Tanita Lodge. The facilities were excellent, the staff were brilliant and incredibly friendly and the service was second to none. Breakfast a free water were a great touch and the staff always went out of their way to help us and couldn't have done more for us. The room was immaculately clean and there was a great atmosphere. I would definately recommend!

Of the three hostels we stayed in Chiang Mai, this was easily the best. The rooms are immaculate, service outstanding. It feels, although not far from the road, that you are in the countryside. The breakfast is great. The ambiance is better. This place is totally worth it. I recommend it to anyone. P.S. The manager is super nice

Aor is lovely ,she greeted us by first name when we arrived and showed us around, she also booked our trips and taxis for us. The houses our beautiful, beds extremely comfy and air con was great. Maid service every day. Cold bottled water available all day and toast, fruit and bacon and eggs at breakfast. Tanita is set back from the road and is so peaceful, you are woken by birds and cats rather than people and traffic. We spent our evenings down the riverside which is a 5-10min walk. Thanks Aor

We would have liked to have stayed longer as the setting of the hostel was great and calm. The traditional bungaloos were great and the hostess adorable. Free tee, coffee and water whenever. A bit of a trot to get to the old city but the walk is interesting and take a Tuk tuk back. Lots of good cafes and restaurants just near the hostel along the river, better than the noisy ones in the city centre. Alos the hostel is not far from the night market.

Not a cheap choice but very nice . Relatively soft bed. Nice staff. Good complimentary breakfast. Good choice for groups of 3+ to make it more affordable. You rent a whole apartment so lots of space for a family . Showers are low pressure but hot . Pretty houses and grounds . Good free wifi or computer in lounge

Aor was so lovely! She was very helpful with directing us around town, suggesting things to do and booking taxis. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was the most comfortable one I had on my trip! Breakfast was delicious, with tea, coffee, juice, fruit, juice, yoghurt, museli and toast, with bacon and eggs cooked upon request. The hotel was a short walk to the city, and was on a street that had many nice shops and places to eat and drink. Definitely stay here!

We absolutely loved our stay at Tanita House. It was by far the best place we stayed in our 2.5 week stay in Thailand and Vietnam (and ever!). It was such a unique and charming accommodation to enjoy. We had a room in the former rice barn. When we walked in, we were so thrilled to see a lovely room with nice sheets, (which were nice smelling, too), towels with flowers on bed very nicely presented, great AC, beautiful grounds...great breakfast options, and wonderful hostess. DO NOT MISS THIS!!!

only the word excellent can express my fondness of this tanita house. the owner is really friendly and helpful, speaks good English and gave us really useful tips around the city. I love the traditional wooden house in particular and it feels so great to be waken up by birds, cats and dogs! also, this place is very close to the strongly recommended restaurant of "good view" and 10-min ride to the night bazzar. it offers free fresh breakfast too. I just regreted not staying here for more days!

A nice garden with lots of green plants and handicrafts. Good atmosphere, simple breakfast but having free drinks, yougerts and juice served all day. The manager is very helpful. But she is the only staff who can speak English, other staff can't communicate even in simple English. The brought us inconveniece sometimes. Besides, the manager showed her temper sometimes when she felt unhappy with clients which may caused by misundertanding. Just love what you are offerred, don' ask for more.

This is a great place to stay. The atmosphere is so nice with the small garden and the charming rooms. And it is not far to the city - place is nice to stay in chiang Mai.
