Te Nikau Retreat nestles in the native rainforest adjoining Paparoa National Park and just 3km away are the spectacular Pancake Rocks. A unique accommodation with all home comforts and excellent facilities.

Various cabins, dorms & lodges each enjoying its own privacy being surrounded by the native bush. Beautiful beaches, Truman track, river walks, horse trekking, kayaking close-by. A great place to Relax ~ Restore ~ Explore.

Free Unlimited Wifi is available in all of our rooms

Fresh bread and muffin's are baked for sale in our small shop, along with some other essential food supplies.

Cafes, craft shop, local tavern, information centre and Pancake Rocks are a 5min drive or less than 45min walk away.

Please note there are no supermarkets, petrol stations or banks in Punakaiki.

Bed and Room Movements

Whilst every endeavour will be made to ensure you are accommodated in the same room throughout your stay, due to limited availability at time of booking, it may be necessary for you to change rooms. If applicable, you will be advised of this at check-in. You will be accommodated in a room of similar or higher standard to that originally booked.
Due to limited availability at time of booking, multi-share accommodation for two or more guests may be provided in separate rooms. Every endeavour will be made to ensure this does not occur, but should this be necessary you will be advised at check-in.

The single room was comfortable but don't book if you are tall! The sloped roof left very little room to stand up and I'm only 5'4". The kitchen and communal areas were great.
