The hotel is really old but why not for the price. But the hotel was not really clean lots of spider web. And the BIG problem was the pub downstairs with really loud music until 3 in the morning, impossible to sleep. Really poor furniture in the kitchen.

This was a very budget hotel. Looked very old and tired as well. Room was ok, just your average cheap hotel room. Had a mini fridge, which was helpful. No kitchen facilities, we didnt use the laundry, but it has one. Never once saw the restaurant open. Staff were helpful, but had no record of me paying a deposit through hostel world, lucky I had a print out of my booking. Right next to botanic garden and bus right outside.

The Grand hotel which is not so grand! Small rooms, no great views, very old fashioned decor but a good location!

Wonderful and helpful staff who are both welcoming and will direct you to any activities in the area according to your budget and interest! Beds are extremely comfortable, real mattresses not bunks.

Not pretty or flash but this place is great value for single travelers looking for their own room rather than a dorm. The lady at reception was helpful and it's an easy walk to pretty much everywhere in town.
