This is not a bad option for backpacker touring around Kuta, many bars and shopping to go, 20 minutes walking to the beach.

Really greatest hostel i have ever stayed. I stayed there two nights. First night was quiet,we laid on the chairs beside the pool, enjoyed the peaceful time, then went to bed and soon fell in sleep. Second night was cheerful because there was a party in the pool. We experienced an unforgotten time there... Both are great!I really like it...

Staff could've been more enthusiastic, polite and helpful. The place is nice and it is close to Legian beach but all the action is in Kuta so it'd be easier to stay there instead.

Lovely staff very friendly, could be a bit noisy at night and they need wi-fi in the room but otherwise a good place to stay. Will recommend it!

We definitely enjoyed our stay in The Island Hotel. The staff were all friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived until the time we left. We were allowed to check in even before the designated time and was provided one hour massage each which was unexpected. The facilities were okay specially the heated pool located practically in our doorstep. The hotel site was near the shops and the beach. We were provided a driver and a guide for the tour of the island for a very reasonable fee.

Down a weird alley way, i initially got lost so don't arrive in the dark. Friendly staff and always clean rooms. I wasn't too happy about the location, but if you want to be near lots of shops and be harassed by every street vendor then you will like it. Overall, despite the city location it was a good place to meet other solo travelers.

Staff was not very friendly and would often ignore travellers

This hostel was near enough to Kuta to go out in the evening but a good location as it was a bit quieter. The staff were friendly but English a bit limited. The pool was good although it did need a clean. The dorm was spacious and tidy with good lockers. Lots of restaurants to eat nearby.

Kuta is not good in general. The islands allows you to have some time within the hotel itself. It is very well designed, nice clean swimming pool. However, It is very far from the beach, 15 minutes walk if you do not get lost.

All is good, except for the pool parties that were going on way past midnight.

The staff weren't helpful. They barely acknowledge you are there. The rooms and pool were very nice and clean. No taxi drivers know where this hotel is, make sure you have the adress on you at all times (even with the adress most struggle to find it). It was a nice hotel but I wouldn't recommend it or stay here again. Free breakfast is nice you get coffee, tea or juice, toast and fruit.

Very nice hostel. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfy, plus the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was also really nice, but bring earplugs as all the rooms face the pool/lounge area and so it's not very quiet if you're trying to sleep. The breakfast was good as was the other food. While the hostel is at the end of a very quiet street, it's in a pretty seedy party area, and the nearest beach is filthy. But there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants around too.

A very friendly hostel which it was very easy to make new travel friends. Very nice pool and great air conditioning in the dorm. Also was about to undertake renovations so should be looking very nice now. Breakfast was free each morning and could be upgraded for a small price, definitely recommend the omelette. It is well located with a short walk to Legian beach and close enough to Kuta that you can walk or a short taxi trip. Really love this hostel and will be coming back!

The safe in my didn't work and they didn't have a key to fix it so I was without a safe for the time I spent there. They did offer to use their safe but I never feel safe handing over credit cards over etc.

Really comfortable beds, not too far from the beach (although legian beach is a dump), and good food at the hostel!

The pool in the back is a huge plus and you get an awesome view from the balcony. The staff was very courteous but not very memorable. The hostel is really close to the beach and if you just want to take a swim in the pool its pretty great and a good way to meet other travelers

Woth every single rupiah. I was suprised about the warmth welcome, the facilities and the acid lounge around the pool which gathers without every travellers for some amazing sharing moments. On the negative part the bathroom could be refreshed.

The hostel was nice and clean with a cool cafe area to sit and hang out. The beds were really comfy and everything was clean. I liked that there was a big basket for each person to keep all their stuff separate, and a locker for valuables. I wasn't as wild as my roommates but it's ok because they were nice people! So basically don't stay here if you want a peaceful night's sleep! The location was ok, about a 20 minute walk from central Kuta.

Whilst not near kuta downtown, easy taxi ride and in the middle to go North to seminyak. Good atmosphere and pool nice but could do with wifi in dorm, plugs for each bed (although light and curtain was great!) and the cafe opening between 12-3. Last point more because the hostel is losing alot of money when people wake up and want to eat at this time!! Would definitely stay again though - seminyak amazing for food!
