A great place where you are guaranteed to meet cool people and have a fun time. It's about a ten minute taxi ride into Kuta but means it's much quieter - which I liked. Lovely pool area and restaurant and the downstairs dorm is the nicest I've stayed in anywhere in the world. Also best showers I've experienced in any hostel. It is very expensive though for a dorm, you can get a private room for much less most places in Bali.

Excellent hostel - very clean, helpful staff, great food, and lots of guests to meet! Only complaint would be the price, which is a little high.

I considered my stay at the bali island hotel wonderfull. The atmosphere was very good, a lot of nice people and also nice staff. The rooms were clean and the pool was nice. Furthermore you had a lot of cute spots where to hang out. The location of legian however was not my favourite because of a lot of partygangers. But it was easy to make day trips from Legian because of its central place. The Island Bali Hotel is a little bit expensive compared to other hostels but it is defenitely worth it.

I signed up for a double room thinking somewhat spacious room with a double bed. Room options were cramped space: 1 bed was a bunk bed however with 2 wide beds. It was explained that the top bunk was "the sofa". The 2nd room had no windows and was jammed up against a small couch. To charge $70 was a farce and I did get it reduced to $40 but left a day early anyhow. They have a staff named Argu who was great. If you like a pool with partying people all night your door. This place is for you.

The pizza oven and general mood of the hostel makes this place unique. But the bathrooms are really bad and the price feels higher than it should.

The hostel hardware is great, but some elements of its software can be improved. The bar staff need to be more attentive and the bar should be kept open for longer! Love the pool area and the various chill out spots!
