I enjoyed my stay at the mad monkey. The beds are huge and super comfy. The air con in the room was really powerful which was good as it was so hot! The bathroom could have been a lot cleaner, especially as there were 6 people using it. As you can't put toilet paper down the toilet, the bin really should have been emptied twice a day. The pool also needed cleaning more frequently. The reception staff were good, although they could have smiled once in a while!

One of my favourite hostels in SE Asia! The rooftop bar is a great place to meet people and the swimming pool is a great place to chill in the day!

This hostel is awesome!! Value for money. The only one thing have to improve is the attitude of counter staff. There is only one staff with bad attitude. Overall is good!

It has a pool! It is so hot in siem reap you will not appreciate the necessity of this till you are there. Great social life at the hostel with not one but two bars (rooftop and poolside) so don't be looking for quiet night's here. The location is great with the night market and pub street just a stroll away. Tuk tuks are always there to take you anywhere else. Because it's so good it is also very popular so book in advance.

Really good location and easy 10 min walk to pubs, restaurants and night market. Security guards at night. Brilliant pool ( although no shade ) and sandy rooftop bar. Decent range of tours offered. Would be nice if each bed had its own plug socket and lamp. Lockers under beds would-be useful.

A brilliant place to stay for young travellers with great people and a great atmosphere.

Great hostel, great pool, everything was great except that the door to my dorm didn't lock automatically. Highly recommend though!

Great location and having a pool was great cause it was so hot. Watch with the staff when booking tuk tuks to Angkor wat, each one said different things and one even charged a group of 3 $10 EACH when it should be $15 for the tuk tuk, regardless of how many people and you can probably get this cheaper if you shop around the tuks. Bar and food is good upstairs but is a bit pricey

Probably one of the best hostels I've stayed in ! Clean, tidy with spacious beds. Stayed in a 4 bed mixed dorm was really comfortable. Pool is always busy and clean, staff are friendly and the rooftop bar is nice both for food during the day and for drinks on a night ! Good atmosphere, good mix of people staying there. Close to the Main Street but quiet enough that you can get some sleep! Great value for money - would highly reccomend!

Nice, clean hostel with good staff who speak English. Swimming pool was nice as well. Rooms with only fan are quite hot. Can be quite noisy at night which is normally fine but when you have an early start like going to Angkor at sunrise, it's a bit annoying.

The fact that this hostel has a pool is a huge bonus. Great party life if that's what you're looking for; if not, head elsewhere. Staff very friendly, mostly clean hostel and overall a great hostel experience! Would definitely return.

Good Hostel in Siem Reap. Very clean and well organized, but the staff seemed a little bit bored by the flow of backpackers. The pool was great!! The atmosphere was not my favorite: a lot of drinking around the pool, very "anglo-saxon" way of relaxing (but that's a personal point of view).

This place was good. It had a social aspect around the pool and located close to the nightlife. Staff were friendly. My room was under construction every day for about 6 hours per day with staff coming in and out, my stuff constantly being moved... Odd. Even still, it was a good hostel with attributes in many areas.

It was my first time to stay in a hostel and I am absolutely happy I chose the Mad Monkey Hostel. Prior to my arrival, they were quick to respond to my queries. Everything was a breeze during my stay! The rooms are basic, yes, but I have to say the location is perfect. It's a short walk away from the Pubstreet and the sand bar is always so much fun! I would definitely stay at The Mad Monkey hostel again... In fact, I can't wait to plan another trip!
