Probably one of the best hostels I've stayed in ! Clean, tidy with spacious beds. Stayed in a 4 bed mixed dorm was really comfortable. Pool is always busy and clean, staff are friendly and the rooftop bar is nice both for food during the day and for drinks on a night ! Good atmosphere, good mix of people staying there. Close to the Main Street but quiet enough that you can get some sleep! Great value for money - would highly reccomend!

Nice, clean hostel with good staff who speak English. Swimming pool was nice as well. Rooms with only fan are quite hot. Can be quite noisy at night which is normally fine but when you have an early start like going to Angkor at sunrise, it's a bit annoying.

The fact that this hostel has a pool is a huge bonus. Great party life if that's what you're looking for; if not, head elsewhere. Staff very friendly, mostly clean hostel and overall a great hostel experience! Would definitely return.

Good Hostel in Siem Reap. Very clean and well organized, but the staff seemed a little bit bored by the flow of backpackers. The pool was great!! The atmosphere was not my favorite: a lot of drinking around the pool, very "anglo-saxon" way of relaxing (but that's a personal point of view).

This place was good. It had a social aspect around the pool and located close to the nightlife. Staff were friendly. My room was under construction every day for about 6 hours per day with staff coming in and out, my stuff constantly being moved... Odd. Even still, it was a good hostel with attributes in many areas.

Amazing hostel! The swimming pool is lush after a hot day visiting the temples :)! The food is really good especially the poolside BBQ! We stayed in the 14 bed dorm the beds were comfy and huge and the bathrooms were very clean. Can't recommend this place enough book it now!!

It was my first time to stay in a hostel and I am absolutely happy I chose the Mad Monkey Hostel. Prior to my arrival, they were quick to respond to my queries. Everything was a breeze during my stay! The rooms are basic, yes, but I have to say the location is perfect. It's a short walk away from the Pubstreet and the sand bar is always so much fun! I would definitely stay at The Mad Monkey hostel again... In fact, I can't wait to plan another trip!

Mostly early 20s people there. Great party atmosphere the pool side bean bag area is what makes this hostel for me, after a day of walking the temples that pool is divine!

Water supply in the toilet has a rusty smell. Other than that, near perfect with everything. ;-) From: Fat Jo.

The staff was not very helpful.

The classic backpacker bar/hostel. Clean dorm rooms, young, helpful staff, sandy floor rooftop bar, ice block cooled pool. It's like Melrose Place for backpackers, not a quiet hostel, music doesn't turn off until midnight.

Good hostel if you like partying or if you are with a group of friend.! I was there as a couple and I would advise it less because of a lot of noisy people and bad isolation of the most expensive rooms. I had a more sihanoukville feeling than a cultural sometimes. But maybe you should be just lucky about the amount of drunks present like in SHV. Location is perfect and the pool is really nice.
