The Meeting Place

Whether you want to meet interesting people from all over the world, or you’re looking to settle down in Taipei, The Meeting Place offers something for everyone. In addition to our short-term travelers, our long-term residents consist of local Taiwanese, students studying Mandarin Chinese, young professionals (some English teachers), and other expats who have found a home at TMP.

Our facilities include common rooms (dining room, reading lounge, TV/DVD area with a projector), hot showers 24 hours a day, and a fully equipped kitchen if you prefer home-cooked meals. We offer free WI-FI in the rooms and common area, individual lockers and locks, access to our travel guides, books, TV and film collection to help you get around Taipei or find yourself at home… on the weekends we often go on a Pub Crawl, have family dinners, or enjoy a night out in the city!
Our location also offers many exciting opportunities to immerse yourself in vibrant Taipei life.

It is only two stops from Taipei 101, the 3rd tallest building in the world and the heart of Taipei city. Here you will find many exciting clubs, trendy restaurants and upscale shopping. For great bargains, we are a 5-minute walk away from both Wufenpu, the biggest wholesale clothes market in Taipei, and Raohe Street Market, one of the most famous and oldest night markets in city. If you want to enjoy a good workout, the Nangang Sports Center (1-minute walk) offers swimming pools, fully equipped gym, a rock climbing wall and more, and we are also only 5 minutes away from the Keelung Riverside for a nice jog, a bicycle ride or a game of basketball with friends.
