Hostel located within 5 minutes to the market and 10 to Pub Street. Serves great, fresh homemade food with many options for every palate. The particular room we were in was clean and spacious. Staff was direct, but never rude. Always answered our many questions and helped book our excursions and tickets.

The free airport pickup was great. They also conveniently assign you a Tuk Tuk driver for the extent of your stay.

As many of the reviewers stated, the spaces are colossal. I booked a room for one person and got a sprawling room with three beds. It is a fantastic deal for those who have been trekking and maybe want a step from the usual backpacker dwellings.

Hi, I have spoken to our staff member responsible. He tells me he has 'dreams of being a photographer'... As he is now our maintenance man and the Hostel is part funding his way through trades school I have instructed him to focus more on his current studies. If he hadn't already proved himself as a thoroughly trustworthy young chap his position here would be tenuous indeed. As it is, I believe it was a naive enough error which he has promised not to repeat. His behaviour was out of line - for which I sincerely apologise, but I'm certain it will not recur. Glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again someday. Gus, Co- Manager.

I had a wonderful stay, the owners were lovely and the reception and bar staff were helpful and friendly. The siem reap hostel has awesome facilities spread out over all the floors. A dip in the pool after a long day of temples was much appreciated. I will be coming back!

booked for 3 nights, upon arrival was told I would need to change rooms every day! would understand if I was extending my stay but this was a direct block booking. A hassle that could have been avoided by good reception management. Also I requested for a visa, was told it would return 4 days later so made travel plans around this date. Next day was told the visa I wanted wasnt available. Saying that I did extend my stay due to the good facilities, cleanliness and location.

Hi there, Glad you decided to stay with us despite the changing rooms. -as manager I watch bookings very closely and do whatever is possible to ensure guests are not inconvenienced by having to move around when possible. Your booking was only made 2 days before your arrival in the peak of our busy season and you indeed booked the last bed available on each night. Hostelworld only sees vacancies and doesn't discern if these are in different rooms each night. I'm really sorry but there was no way around this as we were jam packed. Your visa would normally have been available however embassies at the time were opening and closing erratically due to the King Father's funeral. We do try our best to make sure everyone has a great time here in Siem Reap, however there are things we just can't do anything about. Enjoy the rest of your trip and I hope we see you again someday. My companion and I were extremely happy with the Siem Riep Hostel. Everything was exactly the way it looked like in the photos. The place is clean and the location is very strategic. It's only about a 10-minute walk from the Old Market and some of the best restaurants in town. Most importantly, the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

So glad you enjoyed your stay here - though the Old Market and restaurant district is only 500m up the road! Happy travels.G and D

A really friendly place in a great location within easy walking distance to Pub Street but away from all the noise. Staff were very friendly and extremely happy to help organize tours and transport for onward journeys. Somewhere I would happily recommend.

What an amazing place to centralize your Siem Reap Stay. Picked me up from the Airport, Amazing Staff, Amazing Facilities. Great common area, reasonable food prices! Dranks (sic) on tap. They really have something special here.

Other then the fact that the power and Internet went out, it was the best hostel I've ever stayed at.

Owner Comment (Show)
Hi and thanks for taking the time to comment. Yes you happened to be here when we had a double WHAMMY! Our power in Siem Reap comes from Thailand and occasional outages do occur though there's not a lot we can do about it - the candlelit evening at the bar was fun, no? The P.A. size iPod dock cranked the tunes and people looked to be really enjoying the intimate atmosphere. 2 days later the net went down as our ISP had a problem that took the day to repair. It's back up and running at 4-8 Mbps now and shouldn't be a problem again. you were a little unlucky to have been here for both these happenings - glad you enjoyed your stay! Cheers, Gus and Driess , Management.

This hostel is an excellent place to stay when wanting to tour Angkor Wat. within walking distance of the market & restaurant areas. very comfortable & clean, food at the hostel restaurant is good, i especially like the affordable buffet breakfast. I used the hostel's tuk tuk driver which was available for a very fair price and who was a very careful trustworthy driver. I would recommend this place for sure!
