Great location and easy to find. The cleanliness of our dorm (18 bed) was average although the bathroom was generally very clean. The staff were helpful. The room was loud due to the pub being right underneath. None of the lockers near us worked, as they either were broken or had previously been cut open and not repaired. Breakfast was good, with cereal, fruit and bread.

Though I'm not sure if there would be enough space in the room, lockers to hold bags in the large dormitory might be nice. I did appreciate the discount at the bar, and it was a nice place to hang out.

Great Hostel! Great staff and location (5 min. walk to waterloo station). Nice atmosphere as well (although average age was a little higher than normal)

I stayed on 18 shared room and it was really croweded. But the toilet is clean, the staff is nice and its so close to Big Ben. The breakfast is great.

The Walrus has a great, relaxed atmosphere and the bar is great, location-wise its close to everything. Rooms are a bit old and crowded and beds are lumpy but its all part of the charm.

The staff at The Walrus was amazing; they were always available to offer tips about getting around the city and were all-around really friendly. If there are problems with your room, the staff are quick to help. The lack of electrical outlets near mirrors was odd, but thanks to jet lag I always woke up in time to get my favorite spot. This hostel is a great value for the cost, especially since it's walkable to multiple Tube stops and major tourist locations. Highly recommended!

I felt like I was in something right out of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. The Walrus had a great atmosphere, was warm and cozy, and Alex, one of the workers was extremely helpful and welcoming, even offering me free breakfast upon arrival.

The staff were excellent and very friendly and accommodating. I loved my stay in this hostel and felt very comfortable here. The bar on the first floor is awesome and a great way to meet people. This hostel is also very close to a metro stop which is very fortunate. Definitely would stay here again.

A neat little hostel; nice staff, nice facilities and a good bar&kitchen. The room was a bit on the messy&plain side (Twin room) and the railroad noise is always apparent, but all in all I liked the place a lot, not just due to the excellent location and friendly staff, but the great beer on tap as well (Hogsback T.E.A ftw).

I can really recommend this hostel. I had a great time there. Only the thing that we had not enough lockers in our room and one was even destroyed, was not good. But I hope the guys have fixed it until now. I also have to say, that we could give all our personal stuff to the guys at the bar. They kept them in a very save room. But some things are nice to have in your room at night, but also kept in a room locker, when you go to sleep as f.e. a mobile phone.

The Walrus is in a good location and has great WiFi throughout the rooms. The beds were uncomfortable and the room had poor lighting and was very cramped. The staff were really nice, just be prepared to fall asleep to loud music since there is a pub/bar downstairs.

Although I was only there for 2 nights, I really enjoyed my stay and am already planning to go back there next time I'm in London. The staff are super friendly and helpful, espeically jimmy. The pub below is a lot of fun too, oh and good showers - biggest deal-breaker

This was a fine hostel. Comfy beds, free breakfast, free wifi, free towels. I would stay here again. A few shortcomings: the showers often ran out of water and the bathrooms were always freeeezing. Also, it would be nice if there was a common room we could use to hang out in. The bar was nice ,but the weekend I stayed there were 3 private parties hosted there and my friends and I didn't really have anywhere to go...Overall I enjoyed my stay here. Plus, Jimmy is a mega-cutie ;)

Cheap and great atmosphere. Bar downstairs is awesome and the place is right across the bridge from Westminster. The place has so much character and the owner cares about his place!

Very helpful and nice staff; we enjoyed the guided bike-tour; homely common room but the bedrooms are quite shabby (the photos available are misleading); many of them have an awful dirty carpeting and the one with bathroom en suite has only shower and washbasin but doesn't have the toilet!! In the rooms there are no clothes hanger; it shouldn't be too expensive to add them, we think. Good breakfast, only sweet, but abundant. The kitchen is large and good equiped.
