We were very disappointed that there was no access to a kitchen or refrigerator. We cook all of our own food and buy our own beer from the supermarkets to save money so it made it a lot more difficult for us. We were also unpleasantly surprised to find out there is no complimentary breakfast. The downstairs party area is small and the music was way too loud which I normally don't complain about, however, they were playing some of the worst, outdated top 40 music I have ever heard.

My generalview abiut yellow is good but there are 2 points i'd like to comment on: 1. I was charged 10€ tax during my check-in which was not stated while i was making the reservation. And i didnt check if there is a real tax. 2. There is a bar in the basement, on the door it says only guests allowed, but thereis no control and anyone can enter.

I had a great time at the Yellow and met some really interesting people. Bar on premises? Hell, yes! Super fun time!

Good services and kind people. Maybe the rooms were a little overpriced given that there's no breakfast and the breakfast is WITHOUT A DOUBT overpriced for what it offers. Other than that, is a great place, I still have my yellow bracelet.

Our breakfasts start from 2.50 and we have fruit for 20cents, but we are in the middle of redoing our breakfast menus, we're quite excited about it. Maybe, next time you're in Rome, you can come check it out! Thanks for taking the time to review the yellow :)

I had a good stay. Definitely a party hostel. I'm 26, was traveling alone, and everyone in my room was between 18 and 22, so I felt old, but I still met people and had a great time. Breakfast was good and good value. No laundry or kitchen facilities though. Yay for ensuite bathroom and shower though. The basement bar was sweaty & smoky as it was windowless, but ok on a rainy March night! pretty decent location next to bus station and walking distance of colloseum. staff gives tour recs.

Where do you start? Everything about this place is perfect for a solo traveler or those in a group! From the moment I entered they made me feel like part of "the yellow" family. The food is cheap and the beers the cheapest i found in Rome It's a easy 5 minute walk from the main station and a perfect location to explore. The room I had was clean spacious and a constant flow of hot water in the shower! I want to say a special thanks to Chris behind the bar and May for making me feel so welcome!

I LOVE The Yellow!! This was my 2nd time staying here and it was even better! The staff are awesome, especially the bartenders. Great location, decent price, and the bar downstairs has some really great food for VERY cheap. There are always alot of different people staying here, so it's really easy to make friends. It's definitely a party hostel downstairs at night, but all of the rooms are upstairs, so you don't hear noise at all. This is the only hostel I will stay at in Rome. Thanks Yellow!!

Really enjoyed my stay at The Yellow! The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, and the Yellow bar was an awesome place to hang out, eat, drink, and dance! I stayed in a 4 person mixed room, simple but very clean and had everything I needed, and the showers were wonderfully hot with good water pressure. Only issues were lines for the bathrooms, and no wifi in the bedrooms themselves (had to walk down street to reception for wifi). Other than that, a great stay! Had an awesome time!

Thanks so much for the great review. There are only a few rooms that our wifi does not reach at the moment. As part of the renovations happening here, we'll be changing that. So next time you come and party with us, when you're hung over and laying in bed, you'll be able to surf the net no matter what room you're in. Thanks again, we appreciate the time it takes :)

The hostel totally justified itself as one of the top hostels in Rome. The atmophere is great, the staff - friendly, and the parties every night - just awesome! It's true that you can cut your expenses not only for public transport (because nearly all you ever need is within a walking distance, just don't be too lazy to walk it), but also for drinks at other bars. The Yellow Bar has the cheapest drinks and the sexiest bartenders (both male and female - you choose!). Only shower sucks, sorry =(

I loved the Yellow! My friends and I got a 4 person private and it was perfect! The bathroom was so clean and the room itself was very secure and safe. The staff is really helpful in giving you great tours to check out, however the Vatican pamphlet was 4 years outdated so we planned on doing that tour, but once we got there the tour guide explained he didn't actually take us to the Vatican. So be careful! Always ask the front desk. But, besides that the bar was awesome and a great atmosphere!
