Great vibes, lovely staff, great location and clean rooms. With some of the lowest prices in Thamel, it is definitely worth staying at.

Based on what I've seen of budget accommodations in Nepal, Tibet Peace was average. I paid more there than other places but was surprised to find it the dingiest of anywhere I stayed. My room was extremely moldy and the walls were in desperate need of a new coat of paint. That said, the staff was pleasant and they offered the normal hostel services (water refills, in-house restaurant, arranging transportation, etc) so if you just need a room and don't have allergies, it could be fine.
