Great location, very friendly and laid back atmosphere, manager Joan (I think) is great, and makes you feel very welcome. Would stay here again if I came back to Taipei.
everything is perfect!! nice location, very clean, comfortable bed, helpful and beautiful staff!! highly recommend if you want to stay Taipei.
I like the common area very much where travellers can mingle together. Apart from this, everything is perfect!
Words can't describe how awesome this place is. Jean is so friendly and accommodating going above and beyond normal hostels. I was only supposed to stay for one night which became 7 nights. Bathrooms are very clean and they have plenty of them so you won't be waiting in line. The beds are very comfortable and rooms are spacious. It's also in the perfect spot right above a 7-11 and around the corner of the MRT station. Also, it is in the center of the MRT stations so Taipei was easy to navigate.
short walk from subway stop, good description to find your way to the hostel provided by e-mail. small and friendly hostel, free breakfast in the morning, coffee and tea all day. Very friendly staff, lots of tips and recommendations about what to do or where to eat! would stay here again when in Taipei!
This place is awesome. Staff was helpful and nice. Made me want to spend more time in Taipei. Great great experience.
I appreciated the warmth and hospitality of Jeannie, the host. She was wonderful - an avid artist - took time out of her schedule to recommend restaurants and attractions to visit, and even found a way to conjure a room for me to stay in on New Year's Eve when every other hostel in Taipei was booked. The room was clean and the lounge area had ample room for socializing and eating morning breakfast/snacks (which were provided).

Very friendly and helpful staff, there's everything you need there. The dorm is big enough and bright. Location is good, close to the MRT. Good valule.
Great hostel with very friendly atmosphere! Manager is very friendly and helpful. No exterior signs, so its not the easiest place to find. Bathrooms are decent.
Travel Talk Taipei is a very pleasant hostel to be in! Although I booked a single room for myself, I manage to interact with other travellers due to the structure of the hostel. A bit hard to find, but very good location once you know how to get there Facilities are alright. Rooms are small but worth the money! Great if you are just looking for somewhere with no-frills. Take note of steep stairs when coming to the hostel (note: there are no lifts). Jean the host is friendly!
Abit noisy at night with the construction going on outside (nearby).
A friendly and clean hostel located in a very convenient location (4 mins walk from the nearest MRT). The owner and her staff were very helpful and hospitable. A very pleasant stay, highly recommended!
Late check-in was requested by owner but owner didn't repay back the outstanding hours owned. Owner still persists to check out at the original timing. Not a single notification was raised before hand. After owner has apologized, owner gave a token that was given by someone else. Is this a sincere apology by using a gift from what previous customers have given?Be mindful I'm not a begger.Total disappointment and insincerity of the apology by using other people gift.
Super friendly and helpful. Comfortable environment and can make a lots of friends.-Family feel

It's a simple nice place with a great value for money. The staff are nice & helpful.
Great hostel in the centre of Taipei. It has a real homely feeling and that is largely down to the wonderful owner Gene who makes you feel comfortable right from the moment you walk through the door. It's kind of run as a personal guest house which helps to create a warm atmosphere and it's easy to make friends in the common room. Very comfortable beds and nice free light breakfast in the mornings. Only negatives are the air conditioning only being on after 8pm as it can get very humid!
Travel Talk Taipei Backpackers Hostel is one of the best hostel i stayed in Taiwan, the owner Jean is a very helpful lady.Clean, friendly owner able to speak English and good location(3 minutes walk to bus station, bus directly to TaoYuan international airport).
No matter how many hostels i stay this one is good in terms of the location, not in a crowded noisy area, the rooms are nice, and the staff are friendly, and a overall great place to stay if you're open to making friends whilst at a hostel
Very nice, helpful and friendly staff...High recommended!Fabio from Italy
