Staff were very good even if English not perfect. They were good about telling us where to find the GOOD train booking office and writing all the train information in Chinese so the ticket seller who did not speak any English could process tickets that started in another city correctly. Also did other translations and map guidance all of which is essential if you do not speak Chinese. Nice to have free computers. Hostel may appear to be a bit isolated as it is in a compound. You get used to it

I would definately not recommend a stay in this hostel. There were fewer beds available than we booked. The staff speaks very little English, so communication was hardly possible. The location is ok and there is a nice backyard, however, it belongs to a ridiculously expensive bar. The hotel itself doesnt have a bar or backyard, so no chance to sit outside with a beer. Rooms and bathrooms were dirty and the shower smelly and the toilets disgusting.

Confortable bed - clean linens - very dirty bathroom floor & barely acceptable bathroom facilities --nice helpful staff - excellent coffee - lovely grounds in an uncultivated sort of way -quite difficult to find within the complex where it is located

Loved the restaurant/bar/patio area, it was very comfortable and had lots of plants and flowers around it. All of the common areas were very nice and fun to spend time in. Just make sure the bathroom floors are cleaned a little better, it was okay for us but I could see how other guests maybe upset because of this. Staff were nice but not too friendly, maybe suggest for them to greet customers when they walk in or something simple to improve this. Thanks a lot!

Location is probably the best thing about this hostel. Staff wasn't very friendly and bathrooms were terribly dirty!

It took us ages to check in, need more reception staff. We had to wait for 7 other people to check out before we could check in even though we arrived first. Very slow service, but good food and drinks. Far from centre of town and not very close to metro station. Lovely garden though, and towels changed every day which was nice.

The shower is dirty and quite some facilities are in a poor condition. The staff there does not show enough hospitality to guests.

It's a nice enough place for the price, the directions are horrible though, and should definitely be improved upon, it was only by chance my friends and I found an english speaking chinese person, who had an idea of where it was

I was very happy with this hostel, best I had stayed in so far in China. The staff is friendly, helpful and awesome, the facilities are unbelievable, amazing for parties and small concerts, the washrooms are cleaned regularly, the hot water pressure on the showers is super good and doesn't run out. The only problem I had aside the location was the food though, two times I tried the cheap dishes at the hostel and both times my digestive system couldn't handle it. Aside of this, AWESOME PLACE!

I liked the common spaces and the restaurant. It is located in a park, so it's very quiet, but it is not really close to the centre of the city, and for the metro station there's about 10 minutes walk, but it is close to one of the city's ancient doors, from where there are many buses. There were many showers with hot water coming immediately.

It took over an hour to register, at first he said he did not have the reservation, then he said he got it, but he would give us different rooms! and also took about an hour to check out!!!

Guy at reception put off talking to me for all of 15 minutes until I made my presence known in Chinese; made an excuse about not seeing me (sitting right in front of him). Room wasn't ready in spite of clearly marked time (13:00) on my reservation; had to wait *four hours*. Management needs to get procedures together. Deadbolt didn't work. Creative zone nice; area around it not so much. Redeeming factors: The bar and the people working it were spectacular, and the chef has good taste.

Overall it's a good option if we don't want to spend a lot of money. I stayed in a deluxe enprivate room (twin beds, private bathroom with shower). It's cold, even with the air cond. on, because the floor is like marble/pavement. The staff is nice, though. The cleaning ladies didn't clean almost anything, they just changed the plastic bags and the towels. The hostel is a bit far from the city centre, but for those who don't mind to walk is ok. There is a metro station 10 - 15 minutes by foot.

Great hostel service and friendliness. Even offered us to dine and lunch with them during Chinese new year. Location is good unless you want to go to the city centre various times a day ;)

The place is secure. The staff fixed the problem we had with our heater right away. It was exactly what I expected it to be but nothing exceptional. It's a good place to stay for the price but I wouldn't want to stay longer than a few nights.

It is a very clean and safe hostel. The restaurant though is a little pricey and some of the meals weren’t available. Also the laundry service was out of order. The only real issue we had was the location; it’s quite a bit out from the main square.

Awesome hostel!!!!! The manager and girls at the bar are awesome, location isn't far from the subway (which is very nice in Nanjing), really nice bar/restaurant (nicer/pricier than most hostels), fantastic rooms/facilities, super fast internet. This was a really great hostel and I would stay again.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in China! It's a big hostel and it has also hotel rooms so the structure and facilities are great! The room was clean and warm. Mattres, sheets and blankets are good. Shower was hot 24h a day! Hostel is located inside an artistic complex, which is not finished yet, but it seems that it is going to be a nice place and this would improve the location a lot. It was difficult to find and they should definitely add signs. It is a bit far away from main attactions.
