You just don´t pay much for accomodation and you don´t get much. Location is near at the historic city wall. staff was very friendly but not very professional. For the cheap price of accomodation you get what you paid. But if you just need a bed for night and just stay outside at daytime it is a nice place.
even though it is kind of away from the center of Nanjing city, it has a walk distance(about 1500meters)to the most distinguished place-FuZi temple. Besides, the hostel locates at famous classical early nanjing histroy of interesting. building up on a hill with excellent vegetation resources, you feel like you are on a vacation.
We stayed on a very busy weekend-- National Day Holiday-- and our room was not available when we arrived, which was disappointing. Staff was unable to explain why this occurred though we speak Chinese and English. However, after one night we were moved into a very nice ensuite, good decor, comfortable bed. Location is a little out-of-the-way. Hostel has a nice attached bar with some meal offerings.
Very beautiful place. Only truthly lofts, in the style of modern China. Besides there are a lot of parks and cheap shops with jewellery.
Nice budget hostel. Its a little out of the way and hard to find. We had a basic private room. Which is exactly what you pay for. The staff were very helpful in finding a way out of nanjing as all the train were booked up due to the time of year. 1st week of october is mad busy. Some had really good english but all of them helpful.
Not sure where 'soul' comes into it. I get the impression that this is an out-of-the-way last resort for people heading to Nanjing at the last minute. I was the only non-Chinese person there when I stayed, and there was nothing going on at all, which sort of contradicts their description of a happy, friendly place for international travellers to meet each other.
