As others have said, the hostel is hard to find (and it is far from the metro (15-20 minutes walk). The area it is in is not a nice area being that it's in an industrial area and right next to a major highway. The girls at the front desk speak a little English but not much. They were very nice though and tried their best to help me. The restaurant/bar adjacent to the hostel was expensive but good service and very cozy atmosphere. Also there is no ATM near the hostel.

This place is in a great location actually, it is just really too hard to find I wrote a blog post with detailed directions to hopefully help out travellers in the future: http://worldwidewayfarers.tumblr.com/post/22772716351/directions-to-travelers-soul-nanjing The private room we stayed in was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Soap, toothbrushes, and shampoo all provided. The only drawback was the staff are not very helpful when we were trying to get inforrmation about leaving Nanjing.

The grounds are very nice - particularly so if you travel with kids who can safely play around the hostel. However, it was quite frustrating that it is still virtually impossible for taxi drivers to find the place (no map or useful signposts anywhere near the gates). Communal bathrooms were reasonably clean (but didn’t feature soap…). At the restaurant, they charge an outrageous 10RMB for a small water, and 20RMB for a small bottle of beer. And it’s a 10 min walk to the next restaurant/shop...

The place is located very far from the first subway station ( 20 minutes). You can expect dirty lavatories and noisy trains all night long.

many problems of organization, we had one bed for two in a dorm, instead of one bed each, the staff managed to sort it out. The common showers are extremely dirty and insects crawling on the floor. staff could not tell us where to take the local bus for some touristic destinations and was not really helpful !!! Get a updated map of how to move in the city :(

The hotel is asking a clean fee to wash the bedsheets, believing that they wash them only if they are dirty. Food is just awful, and they stop serving breakfast at 9.30 pretexting they don't have anymore ingredient, however they can make sandwiches with exactly the same ingredients 3 times the price (not good though). No door or curtain when you go to toilets, ok this is coul dbe romantic for the bathroom, for the toilets: kind of creepy. Staff not speaking english. worse hostel in China.

This was the nicest and cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in and if you can find it I think you will enjoy it. As others have said, it is not easy to find. We ended up calling them and they were very helpful in getting us there and we wish we had called before trying to find it on our own.

Getting to this hostel was rather convenient by public transportation but once getting there, it was a bit of a struggle, especially in the dark. It would be best for them to include a map of the Chengguang Industrial park, with a route to get there (and to mention that it's up on a hill!). The hostel itself was rather cold but the staff were kind enough to give us another key to keep the heater going all day while we were out. Food is a bit pricey but the staff are super friendly!

A great hostel once you find it. The hostel really should post the instructions that are written out on the piece of paper at the hostel onto its website (who needs good instructions once you're already there!?)
