I choose this hostel for 5 nights because on the hostelworld.com that Internet is free, but when arrived and paid for the room, learned that internet is NOT free, but for WIFI only. Unapologetic staff fixed that, and gave me only free internet for THIS time but not for entire stay. If I knew that its not free, I won't stay more than 2 nights. I also rated Value for Money and Facilities very poor but the rating system do not include those two and it wont affet hostel' rating. Tribu is awesome!

This was a wonderful hostel! Lovely clean rooms, 2 minute walk from the beach, well equipped kitchen. But TAKE NOTE, there may be ATMs on the island but they usually don't work - take plenty of money. I would recommend this hostel to a friend!

This is the first review I've ever given (for anything) where I've found the business to be excellent in all areas. Tribu Hostel is a gem! David & Mia have worked hard and done an excellent job of creating a place that is comfortable. It has both private and social areas - something that is hard to find in a hostel. We rented a private room on the first floor - it was nicer than many hotel rooms we've stayed in. We can't wait to visit again!!!

Great island great hostal

The hostel is absolutely charming. People there are there to relax. No party scene, and David (the owner) never lets people talk outside past 11, so that we can all sleep. don't wory though, there are plenty of places to have a beer on the beach 20 m away, or go in a local bar and practice spanish. The hostel was design by Dave's brother wich is an Italian engineer. I don't know how he made it but he managed to make a magnificent hostel using local building methods, mainly concrete &roundwood.

Cute hostel, very friendly and helpful staff. Exceptional nice rooms – a lot of effort is put into detail. Spotless clean! Different activities are offered every evening. Can definitely recommend this hostel!

This place was truly a beautiful paradise. We had a lot of expectations about this hostel based on the reviews we read, and it exceeded every single one of them. The owners are truly lovely people that seem to dedicate their lives to the amazing place they have built. The rooms were comfortable and provided plenty of privacy. We never once felt unsafe here. Having clean drinking water provided was an added bonus! We never wanted to leave! I'd love to come back here in the future!

Honestly Tribu Hostel made our trip to Holbox. The building of the hostel is BEAUTIFUL - our private double room was painted in gorgeous colours and very clean and homely. There is a beautiful view to the ocean from the rooftop terrace, a cinema room with a big collection of movies that we chilled out to every night. and an incredibly well equipped kitchen. The staff were very helpful and the place had a great relaxed vibe to it. One of my favourite hostels I've stayed at to date.

Hostel Tribu is amazing! Its everything a hostel should be and more. Tribu should be a model for all hostels! The hostel has the best staff, which include the partner team who own and run it and the rest of the hostel team, it is refreshing finding a hostel, where organised evening activities and cleanliness are a priority! The concept works, if only all hostels were as good!! It was fun and a pleasure to say at Tribu - be careful, the only downside is not wanting to leave!! 100% recommended

My booking tells me that I booked for 2 days... I ended up staying 2 weeks and still did not want to leave! The hostel has a great vibe where you can totally loose track of time. With (organized) fish bbq's; quiz night or just having a beer and a movie in the cinema. Even when it was raining; never a dull or boring moment. Mia & David are the best and help you out where- and whenever. I never give out 100% but this place deserves it; loved it; would go back if i wasn't afraid of never leaving...

This is a very unique hostel on a beautiful island. Your hosts there are a fantastic couple who are clearly in the right line of work. The hostel is clean, comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. A personal favorite is the 12 burner kitchen, as opposed to 30 people vying for 4. Hot water is available and shared (as per normal). We have stayed there a few times, always great. Make sure to sit in the hanging chairs with your drink of choice and count stars.

I stayed here for 9 days in December. Mia and David (and Mango!) were incredibly welcoming and informative regarding activities on the island. The hostel itself is clean, comfortable and gorgeous. I loved hanging out at the bar after a day of kite-surfing. I had a fantastic time staying here....Tribu has my highest recommendation!
