Our room pened up directly into a restaurant that was open until midnight or so. If that was the only issue, then it is quirky but fine. the problem is that with restaurants sometimes comes rats, and we had one crawl into our room and under the bed within a few hours of arriving. We stayed there the night and the owner was nice and refunded our second night. The room and facilities seemed fine, but having a rat as a third roommate was the deal breaker.

Average Backpacker place... i guess value for money if you are not picky. Shower room and beds are clean. For our trip it was not what we needed this time ( travelling with older people ) and the pic let you expect smthing different. The 2 ensuite bathroom rooms are IN the restaurant downstairs !!! This is really not good...We only stayed 1 night( instead of 3). Easy parking for car and quiet small street are a plus to this unatmospheric place. Inexistant staff. No spirit. Disappointed overall.

Tropicana is in a good position. Vincent and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The only thing it lacks is lockers for the dorms, as they do not lock.

Tropicana is really well situated, close to the centre and the waterfront. Vincent is really helpful with any requirements. The only thing it is lacking for the dorms, that do not lock, are lockers for valuables.
