Enjoyed my stay overall. The staff was good and fun and the location right on the boardwalk was great. The only complaint I had was having to pay for internet.

Great stay. Ideal location right by Venice beach. Good atmosphere in the evenings with Kerry and the staff drinking with you in the lounge. Would stay here again for sure. Rich, England

Great Staff, Would go back in a heartbeat!

A nice place to stay if you like to live on the beach, also close to Santa Monica and the airport. Just be aware that going to the city is either very expensive with taxi, or takes a long time with bus (at least one hour with a transfer). Clean toilet/shower and common area. One big drawback is the expensive WiFi access, and a bit far to closest supermarket.

Only negative was that there were no individual lockers in the rooms.

Overall the Venice Beach Cotel was a fun environment. It is only steps away from the beach and boardwalk. The bus line to take you to downtown LA or Santa Monica is only a few blocks walk from the hostel. There is a great restaurant bar below called Danny's with live bands in the evening. The employees are friendly and welcoming as well as knowledgeable of the area. Security is great as well, although there are not individual lockers to put your things in. I was impressed by the cleanliness.

Good hostel. Expensive (but that is more a LA thing). Staff were very friendly and helpful which is most important.

the transportation information about bus is not correct, no free internet computer. The stuff is not clear how to transfter from Venice to San Fransico, Unlike S,F hostell can order shuttle for us very passion. But I think they are still nice If they could provide breakfast, that will be welcomed

The hostel is in a very good location right on the beach and by Venice board walk, the hostel in itself is very average nothing fancy, could do with a good make over, View from my room was a wall, The bed was okay and good space in the room, the blanket felt a bit dirty. Location was great, the rest was average. Staff was friendly and helpful with transportation info. I could stay here again.

This hostel was Amazing! I read reviews to say it was great and it truly was. I traveled my own and I felt so comfortable. I had problems with my shuttle from the airport so I called the hostel and they were straight onto it, they helped me with every question. It was a great location I had a beautiful view of the beach. You get clean sheets everyday. Security is great as they only let peope who are staying at the hostel in so you never get randoms, was a great place. X

Great hostel! Staff were exceptional. My advise if your going in the winter months go over a weekend. You won't regret it

Great party hostel. Everyone there, looking to have a good time. Being in Venice means you are out the hussle ad bussle and down near the beach. Means buses into Hollywood and stuff take over an hour but it's much better being able to escape to the beach

The owner was soo friendly! She invited us to party with her, and let us pay separately. The hostel was in a great location with awesome ocean views. 5 stars.

Great location in an historic building directly on the beach. The manager is fabulous, fun and friendly, great atmosphere. Highly recommend! Thanks! Christian

Good location, easily accessble by public bus (30min) which is cheaper than offered shuttle service ($2.50). Rooms are ok and clean, some offer "free" Wifi from the below pub.
