Hostel which is made more for Japanese travellers than for others, e.g. most signs inside the hostel are in japanese only some in english, furthermore bad facilities e.g. you have to buy your own toilet paper, contact per email (e.g. for airport pickup) isn't working

good location, friendly to tourist, got a lot of support from the staff and backpacker there

The room is small and clean, most are Japanese clients. Particularly for the balcony, which is very comfortable for all the clients. But the staff is very strange and cold when we arranged check out, which is very different attitude when we arranged check it.

All of staff are nice, and good breakfast, The owner was very helpful, He helps us to call taxi and protact us to get in to taxi in the disorder situation, he alway consideration for others.

very good hostel but the only problem seems like a hostel for japanese....all the book n information in Japanese....but I like Japon

really good hostel, but sorta hard to find since the sultan hotel sign blocks their sign. it's in the same building. the elevator inside is broken, so if you have tons of heavy luggage, i would probably advise against this place. mosquitos were buzzing around, but not their fault. hot water was good. AC in rooms if it's needed.

room key is nothing at a dormitory. and i was taken a souvenir shop by piramids tour though I do not hope. i thought this hostel havn't hospitality. i never use here.i don't recommend it.

Thank you very much for your timely review of our hostel. In response to the issue of our dorm room not having a key: For ease of access for both dorm rooms we do not provide a key to either the male or female dorms. Theft is unheard of here and any valuables can be kept in our safe under lock and key and signed in and out of our logbook for accountability purposes at all times. The dorm rooms are adjacent to our reception area where they are under the watchful eyes of our 24 hour staff who guarantee that its only our guests who are coming and going. If security of valuables is a concern, we will happily put anything in the safe (free safety box) at any time of your convenience. - Issue of tour We brief every traveler going on a tour that if they have any issues at all to contact us with their free mobile phone (included in every tour) when they feel uncomfortable or have any question. If this was an issue we should have been contacted immediately, and we pride ourselves on our ability to "be there" with our clients every step of the way. How many other tour operators issue cell phones to their clients to ensure continued contact and quality of service? Once again, thank you for the comment. I hope this informs further readers of our continued dedication to quality of service for all of our clients. Regards, Owner, Said Kondo

I stayed for 3 nights in a dorm. Great neighbourhood where Egyptians live and work, with plenty of cheap restaurants that don´t charge tourist prices. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Warning: the hostel is on the 4th floor (elevator doesn´t work) of a building that doesn´t have the hostel´s sign out front. Have them pick you up at the airport (if you´re coming from the airport) or else you´ll never find it.

Breakfast was nice

nice people!

Very good hostel.

Me and Carla enjoyed very much the persons of the Hotel. Thanks for all you did for us in this trip into Egipt. Thanks.

a great place to start to get to know about Cairo. Quite difficult to find it. also taxi drivers struggled to locate it.but i Loved this place, staff were very helpful and friendly! Will definitely come back.

I honestly recommend this place as one of the best places to stay in Cairo, staff are friendly and helpful.

Excellent location, near Nasser metro station and just minutes from the souk. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful and they make you feel at home. The bathroom in the ensuite room is actually in the room itself. Bring a pair of slipper as the floor does get wet as water sometimes sips out of the bathroom. The hostel is on the 5th floor so you will need to negotiate stairs to get there. Overall, a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the hostel.

The best ever!

I really recommend this hostel. The room is clean, the staffs are nice, and the dessert tour was amazing. Thank you very much, Mr. Kondo!!

.Location is EXCELLENT!walking distance to downtown!thoroughly enjoyed ourselves over there. There were none of the usual , issues which are associated with hostels. everyone from the owner to the busboy were very helpful. The morning manager soni was particularly commendable, in terms of helping to organize tours or just information
