We really enjoyed our stay with you Vy and look forward to coming back in the furture!
The room itself was quite small but the location was fantastic. Service was very good- exchange rate was better than on the places in the Main Street, tour prices were fair also (paid a bit more due to Tet holiday which is standard).
Perfect place, clean and neat rooms, wonderful, friendliy and helpful staff! I would always come back to Ms Vy!
I stayed one night in a double bedroom with private bathroom Pros - Good location in District 1. The hostel is in a small street so it is quiet but you can go to bar/restaurant in backpackers area in 2 minutes by foot. - Vy (the host) is very helpful and very kind - They give a very useful map with restaurants, attractions, spa... - Clean and confortable room Cons - I could stay only one night because the hostel was full the next days, so you have to book in advance
Really nice place to stay, clean, comfortable, quiet, and the map and guide helped me a lot.
Vy Khanh is more like a Guesthouse/Homestay than a Hostel. - The owner speaks very good English (which is rare in Vietnam). She is helpful and provides very relevant information about Things to Do in the city and Tours around the city. - Graciously serves hot tea or coffee each morning - Rooms are tight, but functional - Rooms are clean for the most part - A bit noisy, the family stays in the same building
All and all a superb place to stay.
Very homey guest house, great hosts. The neighborhood was not so great, but the little side street they are on is very quit. You've everything close to the guest house (food, info, bus etc), but it is the backpacker district and there are noisy bars, hookers, drunkards etc. I still recommend staying at this place, it feels very safe, my room was great, had everything I needed. Special thanks to the owner and her family, they are 100% dedicated to serve and help you. Booked excursions with them.
all conditions were quite good except the shower, which was one of the most important and basic factors in a room for me. the water pressure was pretty weak and the temperature was quite low. this hostel is located in the backpackers' field but personally i preferred living near ben thien market, more closer to the tourist attractions, if you are not quite interested in bars and clubs.

We would totally recommend this hostel! It's located right in the centre of the city so you can explore everything by foot. The rooms are clean and safe and the whole staff (especially Ms Vy) is very nice and caring. They help you organizing tours and taxis to and from the airport. When we wanted to book additional nights at Vy Khanh Hostel and there were no more free rooms, Ms Vy even helped us finding another hostel just a few meters away which was also very recommendable! Thanks a lot!
VY were great to stay with, very flexible (they let us stay an extra day on our arrival) and helped to arrange trips for us. They even took us out to where the bus would pick us up. Rooms were very clean, albeit a little dated. Overall we were really happy with our stay here, particularly the friendly, family feel of the place. Thank you!
Great place to stay, very helpful friendly family run business. Full of information about where to eat places to see etc. In a perfect place for walking to everything in the heart of the backpack area but on a nice quiet street. In fact it's so good we are going back in a couple of weeks .
In regards to atmosphere it's a hostel. I slept in a private room so there isn't much atmosphere as there's load to do out of the hostel. Which the hostel itself will help you with. The staff are great and friendly. It's like a family environment. With its location in the backstreets, walking through them makes your feel like a local a wonderful experience in itself. Highly recommend this place.
The family that owns this hostel are so nice and helpful. They told us the best places to go and booked us for the cheapest cabs and included a map with detailed description of district 1. It's a pretty compact hostel but the owners make the stay worth it. I would definitely come back.
The hotel owner Ms Vy is very accomodating person. She always sees to it that she gave proper information of a must places to see or to eat and takes time to chat with her guests. The guesthouse is so clean, the beddings and towels are changed everyday. And the wifi is good too. They are indeed worth to be considered as no. 1 hostel in every aspect. We get bus ticket from them going to phomn pehn, when we were not picked up, she accompanied us to bus office and even carry the luggage of my pal.
Really nice and helpfull family; when we had to wait for the night bus they even offered to shower in the family bathroom. Also clear information about nice highlights in the city. We felt really welcome. Would really recommend this hostel.
Vy was great, she supported us in so many things which makes travelling much more easy! Nice coffee everyday made the stay really really comfortable
Absolutely all was good. I would to recommend.
