Wada girls were the best. Speaks English very good, so there were no problems at all. They were very helpful with mu other trips. They had a great BBQ party. I would definately go there one more time. They are located our of the city center, be thats even better.
Really nice atmosphere and super friendly staff! Spatious rooms and large beds, matresses a bit on the hard side but that happens often while traveling China. Really nice terrace! Would recommend it to every traveler that stops in Guilin.
Don't judge a book by its cover! The look and feel of the surrounding area and the aesthetics of the hostel's building itself (slightly rundown and a little unloved) were poor indicators for the actual experience that we were to have there. Had everything a backpacker needs under one roof. Well set up, clean and the staff were very friendly and had good English. Good place to stay if you are planning a trip to Yangshou. Guilin itself has little to offer.
Great rooms, great staff, great food. Wifi not so stable.
Great hostel and awesome staff. Dorms are spacious and the beds are comfy. Food and good and reasonably priced. Wifi is good. Friday BBQ is really good and I would recommend it. Train station is 10mins walks and the are buses outside to get anywhere you need to. I would recommend making your own way to Longji and staying a night or two. Once again the staff are awesome and sooo helpful. Thanks.
Nice and clean hostel. Bahtrooms are the usual Chinese charmless and a little rundown style (at least in our room). Can't say much about location since we only stayed one night. Don't book their tours though, it's the same rip-off you get when you directly book with CITS travel. I was hoping to get something different when I booked with the hostel but I didn't. Great baozi shop opposite the road!
Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful! It was fun to just hang out at the hostel, there's a great atmosphere with people mixing, chatting, playing pool, reading, just chilling by the bar etc. Menu was amazing - good quality food, great value! Though the rooms and bathrooms are slightly old, it's clean and they have free washing machines and soap powder, a real plus! It's slightly out of the centre, but an easy bus ride and they explain it very well.
Great hostel, awesome staff! I would definitely recommend staying at Wada, and would like to return someday!
Good place for a transit night as it is near the bus and train station but I wouldn't plan a long stay here as it's too far from the city and lacks character. The staff were friendly and efficient and the cafe/bar did some lovely well priced dishes.
I met some friends here, that was great. Nice place to stay and nice food here

We just stayed here for one night. The room was clean but the atmosphere of the room was quite poor. It is not a place where you would want to stay more than couple of days. It is though very good if you would only stay one or two nights before going to an other location.

Great hostel with the best staff ever! Thank you for making my trip to Guilin so unforgettable and for organizing the tours, evenings and all the great laughts.
Very big room! Friendly staff. Nice lounge/bar area. No WiFi in the rooms.
The front desk staff were very helpful and the rooms were nice and clean.
The perfect model of what a hostel should be. Clean rooms, soft beds, good food, and cheap beers. Furthermore, the staff was just amazing! Their English was great, and they were more than willing to be patient with my bad Chinese. We also booked some awesome trips through them, and got picked up right outside. The only drawback is that it's not really in a great part of town.
Wada hostel is great. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good breakfast. The bedroom for 3 people was cozy an nice, excellent price-quality relationship. The only bad point is that we hired some excursions through the hostel that had been a little bit dissapointing (They told us that we will be a group of 9-11 to the rice terraces and we were a full bus with 30 people, they told us that it wasnt possible to do the cruise before 12:00 and of course it was possible...)
Great atmosphere for chilling out at night. I loved the common area with the pub. Very Nice! Initially, we were a little put off by the location since it isn't exactly in the city center, but that didn't end up being problem since it is very easy to get around. All things considered, it is difficult to ask for much more in a hostel. We would definitely stay again!
At Wada, I really enjoyed the friendly staff and the great tours they have. When I walked through the door at Wada at midnight, a staff member greeted me by name and got my group settled in quickly. When we were were looking for things to do, they already had tours everywhere at affordable prices. Everything was very easy. My only criticism is the directions and contact info online. Not all of it is up to date and made transportation and communication in that way difficult.
