The atmosphere is really european, probably a bit too much western. Maybe you will miss some chinese influences. But the staff is really nice and speaks english very well. If you will be there on a friday, join the BBQ! Spicy but delicous! At least def. recommandable!

The staff was so sweet and helpful, they memorized everyone by face and were very caring of guests. They were extremely helpful when one of our group lost his wallet in town, called the police for us and helped with the whole process. Huge huge help, very grateful to them. Rooms cute and comfortable.

The staff are incredibly friendly and more than happy to organise tours, train / bus/ plane tickets on your behalf. The hostel was clean, safe and a great place to meet other travellers. As a solo female traveller staying in the dorm rooms I would definitely stag here again.

we have spent two nights at Wada hostel. The location is perfect just 10 minutes walk from railway station. The hostel has its own character with terrace outside surrounded by bamboo trees. the staff was friendly and helpful. we had a great time there. one minus related to lack of wi-fi in rooms.

Enjoyed my stay. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. They all speak english and seem to honestly want to make your stay pleaseant one. Met a lot of people in the common area. BBQ-night was fun. At first sight it looks a bit run down because the old building is not well renovated, but it's still very clean. And how could you complain considering the price? Bar prices are alright as well. It's located a bit south from central Guilin, but close enough to walk or take a bus. Highly recommended.

I have travelled a lot in China and I have stayed in hostels all over the country - and Wada is one of my absolute favourites! Great staff, very helpful and friendly, nice bar and bamboo garden, tasty food and generally just a lot of fun. I would never stay anywhere else in Guilin - and I will definitely go back again!

I've stayed at a lot of hostels in China and around the world. This was by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Our group actually change travel plans to stay here longer. I don't think I would have liked guilin much if not for wada. They even helped out fellow travelers who weren't staying here. The staff is amazing, the BBQ is delicious, and their rooms are super comfortable. Plus it's so close to the train station (and their free maps help a ton). Definitely would come back.

My friends and I had an amazing time at Wada. The staff was not only very helpful in helping us figure out what to do in Guilin, but also hilarious and fun to talk to. The rooms were nice and clean, but the bathroom flooded really easily. I will absolutely return to this hostel, thanks Wada!

Another Hostel that has got the general vibe of a travellers base organised. Hostels for me are all about atmosphere and the ability to help you meet other like minded people. The common area is spacious and I met more people here than I have my entire trip. The staff are great fun and even learnt my name after one day. The location is slightly out of the centre but the buses are so simple it isn't a problem. My only problem was the tours are a little misguiding in what they offer.

We stayed at Wada hostel for 2 nights and 3 days and it was just awesome. If i liked anything in guilin, that was the hostel itself. Even if you are not travelling, I am pretty sure your stay will be sufficient here.

The location is perfect - walking distance from the train station & situated inside a fenced compound for added security. There is also a nearby flea market every morning for a taste of local color.. The hostel is clean and rooms spacious & tastefully decorated. Hot & cold showers and purified water are readily available. But most of all, the staff are very friendly and speak English well! They are very cheerful & always ready to help out travelers. Special mention to Junee, Monica & Jason

The staff were wonderful and gave a real personal service. The only downside was the food, I had two breakfasts and a lunch there and didn't enjoy any; luckily, the coffee was good.
