Rooms were a bit small and the lockers werent that grea as they were too small. Wifi only works in reception area. Very friendly and helpful though:)

Nice party hostel with great stuff and cool bar. If you want to have a quiet night, though, go to another hostel ;)

We had such a nice time there. The stuff was really nice and supporting. Great Hostel!

Brilliant hostel. The staff especially were excellent!

Excellent Hostel and worth for his money. Only 4 blocks away from the beach and good connection to other places in the city! Really friendly and helpfully staff! They will help you in every situation, if its necessary! Additionally a nice bar with a cool barkeeper making tasty caiṕirinha for a cheap price ;) and every time with cool music! I visited Rio for my first time and fall in love with this city! And with this hostel you will definitely enjoy your stay in amazing place you have to visit!

We stayed in a three person room which was very simple and not so beautiful or cozy but in general everything worked very well at the hostel and the staff was amazingly helpful and could really give useful tips for tourists in Rio. The breakfast was good and the showers also. The location was very good and it was easy to get around the city from Copacabana. Could stay here again.

What a wonderful hostel. More than anything else the staff makes this the place to stay in Rio. So incredibly helpful with getting you around Rio, organizing events, and just generally making you feel like you are in your home away from home. Thank you everyone for a wonderful stay.

My favorite hostel I have ever stayed at for sure. Planned on spending a week there, ended up spending just over a month. Excellent location, and convenient to get anywhere in the city because all of the buses nearby and the metro as well. Ended up leaving with some really great friends including the staff. See you guys next summer!

Great experience there, especially the staffs are very very kind, I've enjoyed a lot there :)

Planned to stay here for 2 nights and ended up staying for 5. Awesome hostel and would definitely recommend for people staying in Rio. Great location just off Copacabana Beach, and cheap taxi rides to all the touristy attractions. Staff were excellent - always friendly and always happy to help give advice on all Rio-related issues. Hostel was always being cleaned and bathrooms/washrooms were really quite big. Brekkie was pretty much the same as everywhere else in South America (bread and cake!)

All round good place close to copacabana beach, staff were super helpful with everything. Breakfast wifi and showers were good. The 12 bed dorm has triple bunks and really tight as nowhere to store 12bags, it could do with 2a few less people in and a trampoline to get to the top bunk.

Thanks for you review. All the beds have enough space to keep all the luggage you carry and dorms are exactly as shown on our microsite. You paid the price for the room you booked.Triple bunks are usual in South America. The trampoline suggestion was a first but we´ll make sure to provide you one in case you check in again.

Great location next to the beach, staff are amazing

This Hostel is absolutely great! We had the best time ever there! The staff is so nice and helpful and they are always in a good mood :) Dominik, the owner (who speaks german by the way), gave us a gourmet map to explore Rio in another way - thank you again ;) The people there were awesome, we had so much fun! At the bar, there is a Caipi Happy Hour with the best Caipis from the very nice barkeeper :) If I ever have the chance to visit Rio again: I will go to Walk On The Beach Hostel again!

Great location and great staff. However, they don't turn the air conditioning on before 10 PM. That doesn't make the smallest sense - Rio Janeiro is much more hotter during the day than at night! Besides that, if you are a young traveller looking for fun, you will much likely be out of the hostel partying during the night and come back to sleep during the afternoon. That is my case. You will just have to sleep feeling too warm, as they won't turn the air conditioning on in the afternoon.

I have very little bad to say about Walk on the Beach. The staff are second to none and immediately make you feel welcome. They can't do enough to help and have always got their finger on the pulse on things to do at short notice. They'll even book it for you. The dorms are basic which is what was expected but I believe that's what really breeds a great atmosphere; hence the people you meet are always fun. Not far from Copacabana beach, good facilities, great people. Thanks guys!

This hostel was our first stop on our travels and the staff made us feel very welcome. They are amazing which makes the stay in this hostel more than worth while. They will help you with anything you need. The breakfast consists of bread with ham and cheese, fruit, coffee, tea and cake. All included in the price. Bedding is clean and you can rent a towel for 5 reals. The building is abit dated. The beach is 5mins walk, metro around 10mins and shops and banks about 2mins.

Greta location, awesome staff who know Rio really well. Easy to make bookings from and always have night activities. Has a real home feel to it!

The staff is really good!. Good location, good security, rooms and breakfast is OK. I would recommend staying at this hostel if you want to be near copacabana.

beds were uncomfortable and the ac just cooled down the room to zero. ask for some extra blankets. there weren't many showers for all the people, so u always had to wait. they have a own bar, it's cheaper than in a bar in the city but it's kinda overpriced for a hostel. the have plenty of tours and they are good, but also kinda overpriced. stuff was very friendly and very helpfull. all in all, u meet a plenty of people there for making party, so it's definitely a party hostel ;)

Here´s our review of you: unfriendly, unkind, did not socialize with other guests or staff members, extremely noisy and impolite. Had guests moving to different dorms just to stay away from you. A cocktail at our bar costs 2 Euros!!! Tours range from "free tours" to 40 Euros. We have a bar if you want to party and plenty of chill-out rooms if you want to relax. Not the right hostel for you and definitely not the right guests for us!

Staff were great, extremely genuine and helpful. The social areas were spaced out a little which helped people not be on top of each other. The room we stayed in wasn't a squished rectangle, thought the bunk beds did give a prison vibe (but like a long term/homey prison, and this was only in the rooms). The bathrooms were clean (!!!) and I saw people cleaning them daily! I would recommend this hostel to any friend looking for a place in Copacabana :)
