I was supposed to stay 10 days in this city, but the whole environment in this hostel with the nicest staff ever, full of good ideas and plans, always available and ready to help and even more, the nicest location close to the best beaches of the city, in a safe area, a good size of 30 beds which is little enough to keep a familial Spirit to this red house, I feel like at home and that's one of the reasons why I stayed longeron this amazing city, muito obrigado galeras ! Beijos Xx

the only problem was, that the staff called a taxi, driver was drunk, no official taxi and drive back wards aainst the traffic,

My biggest complaints were: 1) too many mosquitoes, 2) AC and fans were broken so it was very hot, 3) people were allowed to smoke cigarettes in and near the building, so the smell of smoke was common, and 4) pillows need to be replaced. Other than that, the staff was great, Wifi was reliable, and the location was awesome.

No comments at all... Everything was absolutely great. Thanks for making our last days of the trip even better!

You can tell this hostel is run by hostelers. Every time you've been at a hostel and thought - "I really wish the hostel had ____" - they've almost got it all: a small, pocket sized map with translations of common phrases on it, soap in the bathrooms (seems obvious, but usually not standard), TV upstairs running highlights of things to do in the area, etc. They execute all of the little things - and the number one thing: AMAZING staff! Absolutely the most helpful employees I've come across.

great facilities, great shower, great breakfast, and incredible staff. Make sure you make an effort to hang out with them, they're amazing.

Loved this hostel! Big enough to have space, small enough to meet the other guests. All of the staff was friendly and welcoming.

Awesome staff and location.

Great staff, people, location. Enjoyed my stay a lot!

I had a nice stay at this hostel, sleeping was not that easy because they have three beds on the same bunk and to me that's absurd because i was on the lowest one so I almost slept on the ground. Besides that they have a good breakfast for a hostel and the staff is helpful, but i would probably choose to stay in a hostel near Ipanema then Copacabana. Location is good though, very easy to use public transportation.

Good vibe in the hostel, friendly people. Like everyone points out, the staff is very friendly and feel like family/friends. Breakfast okay: bread with marmelade/ham/cheese and watermelon. The beds are not really comfi, thin mattress with a plastic layer over it. Also triple bunk beds, which is not ideal. Wifi is good, two free working computers available. 5 min walk to copa, 20 to ipanema. Not every lock fits on the lockers since the two holes are relatively far apart. Recommendable hostel

Incredible customer service. Willing to go above and beyond.. So happy staying here it was a great vibe :). Not the best facilities, but the staff makes up for it.

We had an amazing time in Walk on the Beach Hostel. Everyone knows everyone's name and there is a very friendly, family-like atmosphere in the entire hostel. Breakfast is included and very nice, though it's a bit basic. All the rooms are cleaned daily, the showers and toilets are always clean. The bartender makes a fantastic caipirinha and the flaming shots really got us in the mood! We really felt at home at this hostel and we would definitely recommend everyone to go there when you visit Rio!
