We didn't get to see any of this hotel as as soon as we arrived we were told there is a 'problem' with our room and we had to be moved to Poppies 2. This hotel was very noisy and right in the middle of Kuta- not what we had requested.

I stayed in 4 places in Bali and this was the cheapest but with the best facilities. I couldn't wait to tell my 2 friends about it as they are in Bali soon. My only problem was with the taxi they got me. They said it usually 50,000rp to the airport. I had 60,000rp which I explained to the driver before we left. But his meter said otherwise and I ended up paying 75,000rp including his airport ticket. which I had no idea of. I would have taken fixed transport of 60,000rp offered by my 1st hotel

Please be sure to make your reservation at Warung Coco located at Poppies 2! There are two locations bearing the same name (very confusing!) and the one at Mataram street is definitely not where you want to be. Although the double-rooms are quite ok, the twin-bed rooms certainly are not! Furthermore it is located a 30 (!) minute walk from the beach and at a very noisy street! Staff is very friendly, breakfast is fine.

In reply to your comments about the rooms being way over priced ?, if you can find the same room that includes A/C, Fridge, TV, Free Wi-Fi, En -Suite with Hot & Cold Shower, Breakfast, as much tea & coffee as you want, for the same very low rate that you paid for 2 persons please let us know as none of our well travelled guests seem to know where they can be found. Maybe as you become more travelled you will come to realise the bargain you had as our ratings on the internet show. As for pictures of the rooms they are there as they are on every website that has the name. Warung Coco. Please remember you booked in a backpacker hostel not the 5* luxury hotel which my staff told me you expected for $22 a night for 2 person.

Clean and tidy guesthouse, overall excellent value for money with aircon and free wifi. Shower was a little disappointing though as I could only get cold water and it sprayed every way but down. Close to Kuta beach without being in the busy area, which we liked.

Our room was in a small alley around the corner of the reception/dining room, in a small garden. This is a nice quiet place, but Jl Mataram is very busy with lots of motorbikes on te road. The ambiance of the breakfast area/reception was not very good. Coco Warung has several types of rooms, so the choice for a particular type of rooms determines your location. From our room, it was a 5 minute walk to Legian street and a 15-20 minute walk to Kuta beach.

This place is not in the center of the touristy part of Kuta, which we enjoyed. If you are looking for a place in the middle of Kuta this is not your place, but if you are looking for a place slightly off with some great street food nearby this is your place.

Location was ok but not that close to the main beach/streets, and although initially very friendly we later find out that the taxi they organised for us to leave was too expensive! Scam! Room was quite nice though

We thank you for your review but we MUST CORRECT one very important point you stated, W e call Bluebird taxi service as a courtesy to our guests free of charge and Bluebird taxis are metred so you can seen the price and are not connected to Warung Coco in any way. We DO NOT scam our valued customers and i am sorry but we take offence to your accusation.

Great place, located right in the center of Kuta. Really a great bargain and we felt very safe and comfortable there. However, the location is hard to get to because of all of the traffic in Kuta. This meant we couldn't get a cab to take us there or pick us up, and meant we had a couple of long walks with heavy backpacks. But aside from that, really a great place.

Decent place, but the location is inconvenient. You have to walk really far in the moped filled streets to get anywhere exciting. Also, most of the cab drivers don't know where it is. Also the website says breakfast included but it's not. There is breakfast there but you have to pay extra for it. The receptionist was difficult to work with. She didn't speak very good English and got very upset with us when we didn't understand her. She also ridiculed us for booking a pricey tour.

In reply to your comments about us i would like to point a few facts you seem to have got wrong if i may. 1/ if you walk done down the lane you are on legian st in max 3 mins and that is the main st in Bali. 2/ You cant expect every cab driver anywhere to know every business in a area, although most do they try to get the meter price up by saying they dont know where a place is, old bali trick. 3/ Breakfast is included and i have never charged a guest for breakfast unless they have bargained a room rate without b/f included then decided they want to buy one. 4/ our staff are very friendly as you will see nearly all reviews include it in the report they leave, and please remember the laungage difference can cause minor irritations. 5/ it is balinese nature to try get bargain price for all and they find it strange when they get told by guests that they paid way over the odds for a trip etc, she would only have been trying to save you money. we do our utmost to please our customers and if they have a complaint ketut will do her very best to get it sorted out to the guests satisfaction.

First, we had problems with our room. The facilities were not checked before our arrival, the sewer was blocked and our locks didn't work. We had to change our room afterwards. In our new room the door of the bathroom was not put on place properly. Also, the staff moved our things from the old one to the new one and lost some of our things. Nothing was compensated afterwards. The staff overall was very unfriendly and reluctant to help us, they were not interested about our customer experience.

i will reply to this comment as i was made aware of your behaviour from your check in until check out. 1/ as can happen anywhere in bali or asia for that matter the sewrage systems are not european standard and as the goverment puts no money into services we cannot be held responsible for a blocked drain outside our premises, but we did our best to help you and got you moved to another room but unfortunatley the previous guest had broke the door and our maintenance staff had not had time to repair it prior to urgently moving you into it at your request. as for your lost stuff, it was a 90% empty bottle of lotion in your own words that you said was missing during your room move, you were offered a full bottle in replacement but for some strange reason this was not good enough for you. the staff are not unfriendly but even thier
