Wish we could have stayed longer! Great staff and character - across the road from a beautiful beach.

Great friendly staff - really made it a great experience. Cool building style. Great bar and cheap drinks. Also a great lounge hang out area. Staff are a bit too chill at times but they make a good atmosphere. We had a private twin room. Only one plug, but at least there was a plug!! Bathrooms are average, you have to bring or buy toilet paper. No shoes in the common area so have jandals for the bathroom/toilet!!

stayed here for a couple of nights. the whole place in general had anice vibe with very friendly staff! johnny's so friendly and warm! the location is also close to the beach. if you're staying at otres beach, this would be a good choice. we heard they were renovating the toliets - which is great, because their toliets aren't the cleanest, but hey it's a hostel. their private rooms re very quaint and come with mosquito nets - too cute! would definitely stay there again if i'm back at Otres :)

All good but just the toilets & bathroom could be better. Not enough plug in room to charge your devices.

The guest house is charming especially since the communal area is very cosy and a great place to get in touch with other travellers. But keep in mind that the construction of the guest house is very simple. Prepare for ants and other animals in the shower. Ear plugs are a must have! Biggest minus for me: cleanliness of the bathrooms was poor. Otres Beach itself is highly recommended: a lovely beach with nice bars and restaurants. Very relaxed!

By far the best place in Otres beach

WYWH has some big positives but some negatives too. Positives first - fantastic bar area with great vibe and easy to meet other travellers, good location in middle of Otres Beach, amazing friendly staff, strong wifi. Negatives - the 8 bed dorm has just 2 fans which is not enough and i was boiling hot all night. The bathrooms are also in need of work as they don't drain properly, Also they need to provide loo paper!

We stayed in a private bungalow here and absolutely loved it. We even decided to stay an extra night because the atmosphere and vibe at this place so much. The staff all were excellent and so nice. They helped us book tickets and get fair prices on tuk tuks into town. The bathroom, shared, was the only down side of this place for me and the other amenities more than made up for this. Their restaurant is also very very good! Stay here!!!

we were only at Wish You Were Here a short time but we loved it. the atmosphere was fun and layed back but not rowdy and unruly. the music at the bar was great but our bunks were right above the bar and i was expecting to be kept awake by pounding music till the early morning but was thankful it was turned down by eleven or so. the proprietors johnny and aaron?? were friendly, easy going and down to earth. we wished we could have stayed longer!!

It was a great stay with friendly staff! especially the owner, he's very helpfull! A point what they certainly have to improve is the cleanliness at the bathrooms.. this spot can be grow to one of the hotspots!

This is the best place to stay in Otres beach. Johnny and the guys are awesome and the vibe is excellent. The food is one of the best I've had in Cambodia (try the ribs!!) and it is the most lively place at night. The beach here is also much better than in Sihanoukville so don't bother staying there, go to Otres!

Lovely place, so relaxed and with great character. Staff are all genuinly lovely and helpful, dorm rooms and private rooms (I sampled both) are clean and spacious and the bar area is great to hang out in, day and night, especially if you're travelling solo. 20 secs from the beach. The only negative was the showers/toilets though they were doing construction work so this will probably improve. I also recommend DC Tours, advertised at WYWH, a lot of fun and great value.

i loved my stay at wywh. otres is such a wonderful departure from the main part of sihanoukville and being able to walk about 20 feet outside the door to the beach was a treat. during my stay the hostel was still in the process of being built so there are some kinks to work out - mainly relating to the bathroom but after over 6 months of travel, this is one of the best i've stayed at. the staff is friendly and helpful and really involved with the guests. definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing !

a very charming hostel right at the very, very nice otres beach. I can totally recommend it! but notice that there is no safe and you should bring your own toilet paper our you can buy it at the reception. the breakfast, food and drinks from the menue were really good and the price ok! there are also a variety of other nice restaurants arround. If you arrive late in the evening downtown, no tuk tuk driver will drive you to the place. so just have it in mind when you organize the trip.

Love the place stayed there twice, brought people with me on the second time, they ended up staying there longer than me. Johnny and Arron make a good effort to remember everyone's names, i've met loads of people on both my stays there, and recommended it to everyone heading to Sihanoukville. The only thing that needs improving are the toilets. Its definitely the best place to stay in Otres.

Welcoming staff, relaxed atmosphere, and across the street from the beach... However, don't expect the structures to offer privacy or any noise barrier.

We booked this based on positive reviews, but neither the hostel description nor the reviews explained that it is basically a bunch of shacks w/ mattresses on the floor. If it had been clearer, I would have booked elsewhere, as it was a bit too rustic for us. Shared bathrooms were dirty & there was NO toilet paper -- they were charging for it at the bar. For nearly $12/person/nt, this hostel is very overpriced considering the facilities. & there is NOTHING on Otres Beach. Staff is nice tho.
