Well located, in front of Hauptbanhof. Large rooms but the bathrooms are small.

Cleanest hostel ever. I've been in 4 star hotels that are not as clean. Wonderful staff. Just a great place. Perfect location, too.

Very clean, good location. Staff was very helpful with any questions i had. Recommended great dinners and beer halls. Relaxation area was really cool. The only bad thing was there was no wifi upstairs. So when you are downstairs, very one is staring down at their gadgets. But overall, definitely worth it!

It was good staying here... there are so man place to interact with other travelers! You will get a bit overwhelmed when you walk in because only wifi connection you can get is in the lobby. There's no kitchen but you can get breakfast if you pay 3.80 euro--which defi worth it usually it costs 3 euro for sandwich and 2 euro for breakfast if you get it outside. I wish I stayed there longer.

Other than one very rude member of staff, the guests and remaining staff were very friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend to friends - great character in the bar too!!

The staff were really friendly and the information leaflets on Dachau and Neuchwanstein were useful!

Bad things first: Although people criticize lack of hot water for months now a guy at the reception told me, that it was a current problem they were going to fix soon. In fact I was in a room for 4 nights in the 3rd floor and I had only once in the afternoon a bit of fairly warm and very few. In the mornings always very cold water with outside temperatures between 0 and 10°C. I am German and I believe that since decades we don´t have such problems. It´s a shame. No internet in the rooms.

Well... Huge chains are always the same. Tidy clean structures, good location, professional staff and... That's all. Cold atmosphere. It is not a bad place to be; but it makes you feel in a hotel. It's huge and impersonal. Too many tourist groups (eeechs!) and drunk late teens/ early tweenties around. Not the best place for a lone traveller in her/his 30's.

One of the better hostels I've stayed in. The staff were very understanding of travelers and were flexible with our situation.

Fantastic stay. The hostel is incredibly clean and welcoming. The bar is a lot of fun and the common room is comfortable. Best hostel I've stayed at yet! Would recommend.

The staff on the desk were exceptionally helpful, answering a long list of questions with enthusiasm and showing us in person where we could store bikes (rather than simply pointing us in the right direction). The dorm was modern, clean and had a nice bench in the middle. The beds were solid and comfortable and each one had a small shelf with a reading light and a socket - these details count!

Location is good. There is no rich breakfast. If you want to go with your car, never try it. because I paid 13 Euros per night for an awful park place. and they gave no park ticket for that . maybe they shouldn’t get this money from me. On their internet site there is on information about it. and you can only park in 3rd. lower floor. to go down to this floor you have to pass very narrow corridor. If you arent be very careful you can damage to your car.

I spent 3 days in Wombats and really enjoyed my stay. There is a great atmosphere from the minute you walk in. Staff are friendly and helpful and the hostel layout really makes it easy to interact with other guests. 2 minute walk from the central train station and very close to the heart of Munich. I would recommend this hostel to anybody and will definitely return. Also make sure you do the Munich City Tour organised by Wombats

Great hostel right in the city centre of Munich, in front of the Hauptbahnhof. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, surprisingly clean and safe: OUtSTANDING VALUE FoR MONEY! Only downside, the WiFi connection: it's just in the common area and most of the time I had trouble with the connection :(

Hostel was close to the main train station and not too far from the Munich town centre. Had a great time at night in the bar downstairs meeting other travellers. Rooms were clean and secure. If you prefer smaller/quieter hostels I wouldn't recommend this place.
