Wombats City Hostel Vienna - at the Naschmarkt Reviews

Nice place, location was decent but public transportation is super easy to use (and they rent out tram passes for discounted prices). A very mixed crowd of people, not exactly a youth hostel that many young travellers are probably used to. However rooms are cleaned daily and security was very good. Breakfast and kitchen facilities were fantastic, overall the value was very good.

Although the staff seems busy most of the time, maybe they could provide a short briefing to first-timer who have just checked in. This will be very helpful to us and you are selling a better service. I strongly recommend perhaps Wombat could easily get sponsors to print a much simple Wombat-Map because the map provided by the Tourist Info is too large and complex. This will be a great impact in advertising towards as the map could be passed down to another friend during their recommendation.

Above all we enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. They were always prepared to give information and help.

Fantastice Experience. Excellent Ambience in the Common Area.

This wombats was a good place to stay, however the atmosphere was not conducive to meeting people. I was a solo traveler and thought the hostel was very cliquey. The staff was not very impressive either they were simply putting in their time, no enthusiasm.

Wombats was a very good hostel to stay in. It was clean, comfortable, and they upgraded me from an 8 bed to a 4 bed for free. The bathrooms in each room were fantastic, and the beds were quite cozy. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful, though one of them seemed very uninterested in my questions. It is a very large hostel (I think it can have up to 450 guests), so try to make friends in your room. Definitely recommend it

Breakfast area could have been a bit bigger and more comfortable.

Surprisingly good location, open and friendly staff, offering rich breakfast. Among the highlighted nearby places to visit, besides Vienna, I missed Ljubljana, Maribor or Piran on the Slovene coast.

Great information about what to do in the city. Loved the free walking tour. Good value breakfast available for purchase

Excellent hostel, it's located in front of a market full of restaurants and bars, my rooms was pretty big and it was very clean ... you can go everywhere just walking, I definetly would stay there again.

My stay at Hostelworld was pleasant. I was greeted with a nice welcome and all the staff were very helpful.

Probably one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in Europe! The location is fabulous! The staff was so helpful and they have a huge wall full of suggestions! The free welcome cocktail in the bar was a nice surprise! And the wifi even worked in the room which was also a pleasant surprise! Overall a wonderful experience.
