No kitchen let the place down, also very hot rooms and you will not be able to sleep as walls are thin and parties go all night long.

It is always loud due to the bar and warm in the rooms that face the interior of the building.

Our room was 1 floor above the entrance so all of the smokers were below us and the room filled with smoke so we were forced to try and sleep in a hot, stuffy room in order to breath . Africans were hanging around outside the hotel shouting at each other and taking up the sidewalk. Running that gauntlet every time you wanted to leave or enter the hostel was very intimidating. They didn't leave (or quit shouting back and forth) until quite late, making for a pretty noisey sleep until wee hours

Hi there! I'm so sorry that your stay wasn't to your satisfaction! Unfortunately we can't prohibit smoking on the streets. The only solution in that case is to close the window. If it gets too hot inside even with a fan please feel free to ask for another one at reception. Also if it gets too loud outside please tell our staff. We ARE able to tell people to shut up. :-) Stay safe and happy travels!

The location is GREAT. I would love it if there was WiFi in the rooms. Also, the bathrooms could be kept a bit cleaner.

Hi there! Thanks very much for your comment! We've been discussing about that and then deliberately decided that we do want to keep up this bright and glistening backpacker's spirit which is to crawl cautiously out of the room to meet and get to know other people in our common areas or outside. We are aware that social media takes over but we don't want our guests to hide with their laptops under the cosy blanket and throw them out into the cold, sharp-edged, pointy world. :-) Horribly idealistic I know but I hope you guys can understand that for this reason we have wifi connection only on the ground floor. BUT we will speak to our cleaning staff about the bathrooms. Anyway: Happy travels! And always know where your freaking towel is!!

A cheerful place, cheeful receptionist, just the wifi not working since too many people use it.

The staff are nice and also helped me to find the way out to the main attractions. There is even a free welcome drink! But there is some unsatisfactory thing that the bar is really noisy at night

Hi there! Thanks very much for your comment! We'll talk to our night shifters about the noise. They're in charge of keeping it down and therefore patrol the house every hour. But if the noise is still bothering you please don't hesitate to come down to reception. They'll be happy to help you out anytime. I hope you'll have a great time onwards! Happy travels!

The day i arrived, the staff was very helpful, however the following morning the staff was quite cold towards me. The facilities was modern and very safe. The only downside was that the room i got was just above the bar and it was blaring music all through the night.

Great place, especially for travelling students and those looking to meet new people. Bar right in hostel where it makes it easy to meet new people. Location is right outside main train station so it is easy to find. The people who worked there are as friendly as ever and will help with anything!

This place. is. awesome. Literally less than two blocks from the train station, key card doors and lockers that are huge. Beds were well built and super comfortable. The bar and courtyard are great. It's really easy to meet a lot of people here but also an incredible value for the money. The best.

Loved the hostel, guys. The ONLY thing I would say is that you may want to sort out a backpacker friendly play-list in the bar. The music selection wasn\'t great. Everything else was amazing!

Hi there! Well, I guess SOMEONE has to develop some taste....:-))) Just kidding. Thanks for the good words, man! If you want to have an influence on the music selection you have to flirt with the bartender. Stay safe and happy travels!

Fantastic staff. They were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok and what you expect from hostels. Wombats had great beds and my dorm was clean with plenty of space. Big lockers provided in room. Security was excellent with electronic locking system on room door and locker. Very good facilities within hostel. Great bar and bar staff.Great location and price.Travelled many times to Germany and consider this hostel the best.

I'm a 50-something woman who had never stayed in a hostel: I didn't know what to expect. I accompanied nine college students (mostly 20-somethings). I stayed alone in a semi-private room; they stayed in dorms. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable I was. The option to pay a low price to stay in a dorm-style room made this side trip (after a student exchange in Stuttgart) possible for some of our students. They couldn't have done it otherwise. Staff was VERY helpful; rooms were clean.

Hi from Munich! Yep. The kitchen problem. It IS a shame I know. Unfortunately it is chronic and there will be no solution until the world is changed and the German bureaucracy will have to burn in hell for all eternity. And beyond. Aaaaanyway the matter of aching fact is that we're not allowed to have a kitchen due to fire safety regulations. Check. We're so sorry about that! If you want to have boiled water you simply can ask our front desk staff (or bar staff in the evening) and they will get you some. Have some peanuts and take it easy!

Rooms were great - very clean and spacious. Location seemed sketchy but was close to the train station at least. Only there for one night so I didn't have the time to really feel out the place. Front desk was very slow when we first arrived. There was a line up to check in, which I can understand. However, the staff seemed to process the people through as if there was no one waiting. Wasn't quite efficient. All in all, it was ok but not great. Loved the indoor terrace though!!

Hi there! Thanks very much for your comments! We'll talk to the guys who were there on that day to see what the matter was. Normally our staff works quite efficiently esp. since we do have some experience with long lines. Sometimes there will be queues no matter how fast you work. But since your impression was that they were not trying hard enough we'll definitely have a look into that. Take care!

Excellent location! Super close to the center station. The staff were really friendly and the rooms are clean. Absolutely love this hostel except for one thing: it's noisy at nights! At the 2 nights we stayed there, you could hear people talking and shouting on the streets, and the noise would not stop until 2:00 am. Besides this, nothing to complain!

Some hostels are quieter, some are louder. If you like lots of action and a busy scene, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a little more downtime and a place that has space to relax, find somewhere else.
